4 hours? Round trip, I guess. And the Z should be solidly in the 13s. Low 13s if you're any good. ;)

With the times I'll be turning in, I'll make anyone look fast! :rofl2:

I'm driving from Charlottesville. It takes me 2 hours to get to Fairfax.

I've also got AS tires on there...I haven't been able to get a launch I'm happy with running those 245's out in the back....

Found some good tips on how to launch a FWD car... ultimately the best one was "buy a RWD car". Figures... :roflpuke2:

I've got about 22k on right now

GM_Traitor3.5 09-13-2010 05:36 PM

So I guess right now it's just Steve and I heading up to MIR on Friday from the group? If so, once again, it's gotta be 4-door representing the crew. How sad... :shakes head:

Yup, a 4door fwd sedan and a mustang repping a Z owners group. Go get em, sluggers. :D

Amar, if this was NASCAR, they'd be yelling for you to PIT for 4 new "feel goods" -- showing cords, NOT GOOD.....you feeling any vibration?

ZCarMan 09-13-2010 06:29 PM

Amar, get some new tires man!

Well hopefully Steve will be running consistent low to mid 13's at least. If he cracks into the 14's I'm going to put another nail in his tire so he doesn't keep embarrassing himself  Those new 5.0's are running high 12's bone stock from what I've seen.

There's a 7th gen Max with a 75 shot of Nitrous... that would put me in the 13's easily!

The fastest bone stock 5.0 time I've seen so far is a 12.5 @ 115. The issue is going to be if I can hook. It's been a while since I've been on track with a high HP car. If I can cut consistent 1.9 60's I should be running mid-high 12s no problem.

That's the beauty of having the entire day... I can practice.

Definitely going to need to play with RPM launch, clutch slip, etc to get the best time. I'll buy you a beer if you can cut a .501 reaction time

Where you have to worry about launch... I can just power brake it and leave it in drive :roflpuke2:

Just a reminder for folks just now reading the thread, this Saturday's meet is at Gordon Biersch in Annapolis at 4pm.

1906 Towne Center Boulevard
Annapolis, MD 21401-3681

The beer is yummy, the food is yummy, and most importantly, the beer is yummy.

Well... .500 is a perfect R/T. A .499 R/T means you red-lighted. How about in the range of .500 to .600?

Depends on the scoring system. Some tracks I've been to score you from .000. So if MIR was one of those I'd be hitting .1s all day long and would be very drunk by the end of the day. :roflpuke2:
