Tom said he is looking to break 9 seconds in his GTR so that will be fun to watch for anyone going. He said if he didn't burn up his GTR he'll see us on Saturday afternoon.

Awesome. I saw the car list and it's definitely pretty impressive. I think my 5.0 will be one of the slower cars there. :icon17: Hoping to crack 12s with it but we'll see... it's been a while.

I will have my camera and GoPro so I'm sure I'll get some good shots.

The @$$ end of the Max isn't a bad sight to behold, especially in that blue! I was thinking how good it'd look with a drop and some big meats (too bad it's FWD).

Haha it does have a big ***... they really flared the fenders out on the 7th gen. Would love to throw on a set of the Ray's wheels, but having larger width tires on the rear would be pointless (stupid FWD). Definitely keep me posted about Friday. Going to request the day off tomorrow, which shouldn't be a problem. Thought about running the Max up at MIR, but think I'll just roll with you instead.

You should run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GM_Traitor3.5 09-13-2010 08:02 AM

And you think you'll have the slowest car out there? I'd feel like a Versa among GTR's with the cars that are going to be out there! :roflpuke2:

m4a1mustang 09-13-2010 08:37 AM

Run anyways mang. Your car should trap pretty close to 100 mph, right? 98-100ish?

:iagree: Then you can post the results on a Max forum, where they'll ask you if the cupholders prevented spillage and whether or not you had groceries.

Jay should provide taxi service from now on at the KC meet, since he can carry 4 extra souls.

My Z performed admirably in that role, although that was a one-time offer. An "introduction to KCMD" spectacular for you, SecksZ, and Jay or Frank, although neither of them were so nitpicky about needing starbucks asked for a ride. :roflpuke2:

The fob does everything. Come to Gordon Biersch and I'll show you. :yum:

HAHAHAHA!!!!! :icon18::roflpuke2: I can certainly haul more people, not a problem

@Steve- C&D clocked it at 14.5 @ 98mph... not too shabby for a CVT and 3,600 lb car. 0-60 is about 5.8 I think. IF I run the Max, going to drop the front wheel psi to about 22-25 pounds for better 60ft times. I'm kind of torn to be honest whether or not to run her.

DO IT! I'll get some good shots of your car launching.

It's at the Gordon Biersch at the Annapolis Towne Center in Annapolis. I don't have the address on hand but it's easy to find. We are shooting for 4PM. We are usually there for a few hours.

How was the pizza Saturday hosers?

GM_Traitor3.5 09-13-2010 09:41 AM

Damnit... guess I'll have to run it now! I'll snap some pics of the Stang as well. How many passes do you think we'll be able to run on Friday?

The pizza was good... but not as good as Steve's view of the @$$ end of my Max the entire way back :bowrofl:

He likes to look at Nissan ***. That's why he got the stang so he can be assured to be in the "rear."

The track is reserved from 9-5 PM. There are going to be probably 50-70 cars. I'm guessing you could get one run in every 10 minutes, so theoretically we could get in 48 passes, maybe more considering many people will stop for breaks. :driving:

I'm thinking I'll put in at least 20 passes. I need to spend the first few runs learning the car...

Sounds good dude. Probably won't put that many runs on my car... you know how these VQ engines have heat soak issues, not to mention trans temp. Plus, don't feel like destroying the CVT then have to limp back to NoVa afterwards hahaha. Guess I'll find out if any warning lights appear on the gauge cluster

m4a1mustang 09-13-2010 10:37 AM

Gonna change my oil on Thursday. 8 quarts w00t.

GM_Traitor3.5 09-13-2010 10:43 AM

If only my car could crack 13's bone stock I wouldn't feel as bad running it at MIR. I saw the list of cars running and mine is going to be slow by a country mile.

Good thing, cause I don't want to mess up my hair-do to go along with my Cafe Latte leather :roflpuke2:

I think they just require tennis shoes and jeans to race if your car is as slow as mine

:icon18:

I'm sure I'll have a few 15+ second runs. Usually I can tell in the first 60' if the run is blown. If it is I just coast. I have plenty 17.5s at 50 mph in my old Mustang. :bowrofl:

BTW, if you really want to break 13s, take out the passenger seat, back seat, and the spare.

Well I'm notorious for breaking the beams too early. Bet the MAZOC fellas would love to see you have a higher E/T than me since you've gone to the dark side :roflpuke2:

Might just open up the airbox and see if that gives me anything extra!
