You know, you're really a nice guy. Most of that stuff I read (and wrote) about you in random public bathroom stalls is just plain wrong. |

Anyone still at the Starbucks in VA?

Great Falls was spectacular! No pics - lost camera, but Lambos, ferraris, porches (GT3s 911 70-pres), vetts (every decade), audis R8, Vipers, cobras (kit & original), MGs, Triumphs, Franklin, Bimmers (2 87 M6s), Mustangs, Volvos, Mercedes AMGs, etc. Oh - 1 300Z and 1 fab 350 Nismo!
I got there at 7:10 and there were already 40+ cars - had to have been around a 100 all in all. It was even better than I expected. Was told that it was kinda tame. Woke up a 5:45 without the alarm to give ShiroZe a wiping off and spray wax. To get in front 6:45 is needed. The car talk about the mods was insane! Good coffee and muffins:) I'll be up there the 25th until 8:30 - at 9:00 soccer starts. |
We had a great turnout at King's Contrivance today! 10 folks showed, including 4 from VA! I'll post pics pretty soon. And someone's Mustang GT sat next to our Z's today, making them all look better. :)
|
Great meet today in Maryland! Good to see all those who could make it. Glad to see Virginia represented very well today. Looking forward already to next weekend at GB in Annapolis.

The Mustang...!!!

I agree, great turnout today! Although on the way back on 495 I was almost sideswiped by a Tacoma, then on 66, a Tundra almost took off my rear quarter panel. I thought MD drivers were bad, but starting to think VA is getting there :roflpuke2:
|
Good to see everyone again. Next time we should park closer to Starbucks! Haha
Darren, thanks for spotting that nail in my tire. Gonna plug it here in a few. Thank goodness its not in the sidewall, that'd be expensive! |
Good job we found it yeah, could of been ugly if ya didn't know it was there.
|
Al, thanks for provding taxi service to the Starbucks! Haha.
|
Oh yeah, the Nismo looks and sounds awesome, Darren!

It was great meeting you all!

Turns out that the nail didn't puncture the tire. It laid in sideways on the tread, so I should be in the clear.
|
My new, very temporary, front plate bracket.
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_qiUkqaHCPFw/TI...911_173133.jpg I'm going to make a nicer one and paint it flat black, but for now, this beats putting it on the dash. |
Steve Congrats on the stang looks awesome I can't wait to take it for a ride.
Enjoy and be careful. |
Steve, how did it feel staring at the back of my Max the whole way back? Haha! Great looking Stang dude. I think I will be game for heading up to MIR with you this Friday.
P.S. there were some IDIOT drivers out on the way home... saw that one car cut you off pretty bad, then almost had a Tacoma sideswipe me. :shakes head: |

Sorry I missed this week’s MD get together – sounds like you guys had a pretty good time – so any pics from Whitney whipping Al’s @$$? :icon17:
Spent a great two days down at Richmond doing the NASCAR thingee – my driver didn’t have a very good weekend, but the weather was great and the racing was entertaining! Posting a couple of pics from last night’s pre-race (11 Sep 2010) Looking forward to next Sat’s GB get together – as I recall, last time it was a little bit of a later start time? 14:00'ish....? Drove the Z down to Research Triangle earlier this week – picked up a couple new battle scars from the trip. 1) Hit a piece of tire on the front lip – looks like the clear bra did it’s job, but not sure if I can get the tire residue off the clear bra plastic or will have to replace that piece of clear bra…. Might be a candidate of a carbon fiber “nose job” – something to discuss next weekend…. 2) Picked up a light “clear coat” scrape that I THINK is fixable, but would like to get some 2nd opinions on the best approach – again something to talk about next weekend…. |
Steve, we're gonna shoot for 4PM at GB next weekend. Sorry to hear about the tire on the clear bra but at least it did protect as advertised. We'll look forward to seeing you next weekend!

The @$$ end of the Max isn't a bad sight to behold, especially in that blue! I was thinking how good it'd look with a drop and some big meats (too bad it's FWD). I'll let you know about the plan for Friday. Quote:

2) Bummer about the battle scars! |
For those going to MIR on Friday I was talking with Tom. He is the GTR owner from last years GB meet. Anyhow, he said about 12-15 GTRs will be there and about 30 other cars, BMWs, Mercedes, Corvette Z06s, Z01s as well as others. Tom said he is looking to break 9 seconds in his GTR so that will be fun to watch for anyone going. He said if he didn't burn up his GTR he'll see us on Saturday afternoon.
