I think the MD meets are starting to get bigger than the FFX ones

Hahahaha I doubt that.

One thing's for sure, though. Summer time meets are definitely more active than winter meets.

I remember a winter meet from this year where it was just me, Frank, and a guy who was thinking of buying a Z.

It was a lot of fun meeting the new blood (twilight?) today. 4r3s, ZOLE, Trooper & I had a fun ride to the meet. I'll be posting up the pics I got as well Shado, John's passenger name was Ryan - now we got to force convince you to set up another cruise; it looks like we'll have a great turnout.

I learned a few lessons after our first two cruises.

Next cruise, which may have to be near the end of July, I want to try and have the following...

(1) Radios. These make a world of difference. Much better than fiddling with a phone if you get lost.
(2) A print-out of the route for everybody. I'll handle this personally. This way, even if you're stuck without a radio, if you have GPS or a phone with a mapping app, you can pull over and find your way back to the original path.
(3) A better set of stopping points, so that we can all get together when we separate, and so that some high school hoodlum doesn't throw rocks at our cars. Again, I can look into this.

I will most likely also not be going as fast this time around. The goal is not to attract police attention or worry the locals.

I may even consider starting us earlier or later in the day to try and avoid peak traffic times. Might even make it a Friday evening cruise.

But I'll put up a thread about it in a few days, and we can discuss it there. You can always PM me with ideas in the meantime.

Also, unless anyone strenuously objects, I'm thinking that the next cruise doesn't have to start in PA. We could start somewhere else in Maryland. I have a few ideas on that already.

Well I guess the first half of the drive back from PA is pretty lame until we get to the back roads/Loch.

Maybe we should just start and end in Towson (Hooters).
Still do Loch Raven and surrounding area

Hey it's a bit of a drive, but has anyone every driven around Cunningham Falls State Park or Catoctin Mountain Park, just north of Frederick, MD?

I've never been there but a mountain drive could be sweet..!!

Darren, yeah, I was thinking of doing away with the PA part, start in Loch Raven, continue over to Pretty Boy, then come down Falls Road, and finish up at Hunt Valley Towne Centre.

We could look into this. Do you want to go on a scouting run with me some time coming up? I'll go check it out with you.

I'm always up for a drive.. Lots of roads around there, might have to have a little plan first.

Agreed. I've driven around Boonsboro and Hagerstown, though. Great roads out that way!

I think the GT-R crew was going to go on a cruise there. Should I ask the guy about what touted he was going to take? Maybe he will even go with us.
