Sorry to hear that man. 30 days isn't all that bad though. Could have been 6 months to a year.

He wasn't planning on going last year either... :driving:

FYI to those folks up in MD. I had my alignment done this afternoon at the Laurel BP off route 1 up near AAM Competition after having the camber kit installed at AAM. Everything turned out good. I'm back in spec with some good negative camber in the rear. The owner of the BP station has the latest equipment. The owner is a Supra guy and had his car sitting out front, it was really nice. I'd go back to them if I needed another alignment. They sell tires and wheels too.

I should get word from Jon tomorrow as to whether or not we can do Saturday. If not, I think we are all still meeting at the Dobbin location regardless.

So you got the suspension out of the way so that means you should be good for the rest of the summer once you get your license back, right?:happydance:

Nice.

I need to do suspension stuff soon.

All of the Konis are still on backorder 'til who knows when. I might go with D-Specs. :/

Yeah, cause everyone is buying mustangs:rofl2:

I'd wait for the konis, personally.

The only issue is it could be a month or it could be a year... They've been on backorder for over 6 months already with no end in sight. :/

It could be worse. Koni could have decided to never release dampers for your car:shakes head:

I have a question. Did you use adapters on your jack and jackstands when lifting the Z up? I borrowed a lift when I put on the exhaust, but my jackstands will crush the pinch weld under the Z.

I didn't use the pinch welds on the Z for the jack stands. I used either the frame rails in the front or part of the rear susp.

But I did make some pinch weld adapters for my floor jack by cutting a slit in some hockey pucks.

Meh, yeah. The only issue I see with the D-Specs is that the rears are not easily adjustable like the Konis are. Modshack is running D-Specs and is happy with them so they can't be that bad. I mean, I want the Konis... but I don't want to wait forever. :/

Yeah, I feel ya. I also just kind of have a soft spot for Koni, since they've so consistently made good stuff.

Ah. I've been nervous about the solidity of the hockey puck/jack arrangement, but I guess we will see how it goes.

Wow a BP station? No problem with aligning a lowered car? What was the cost for the camber kit install and the alignment?

Camber kit isntall at AAM was no problem for Dave who has done all the work mostly on my car. They decided to not install the rear toe bolts as that was not determined to be needed. They did have to widen out the mounting hole for the SPC kit but that was no problem at all. Alignment went fine at the BP in Laurel. $250 for camber kit install and $150 for alignment. Hills Garage quoted me $300 for just the camber kit install and D and V in Chantilly wanted $400 for install so I think I saved a ton of cash and time. Plus the work was done well.

Looks like AAM won't have anyone in tomorrow so we'll have to shoot for the next MD meet for a tour. If it is raining tomorrow I won't be at the Dobbin location.

Kirkster 04-22-2011 05:20 PM

Yea it is not looking good for a meet tomorrow 90% chance of rain...

Besides my car is covered in Pollen...

I couldn't get showtimes for Saturday for that theater, I don't think they've posted them. You wanna check it out and try to find them?

m4a1mustang 04-25-2011 09:13 AM

We won't be able to view their showtimes for Saturday until Wednesday. Looks like they only go out three days in advance.

b1adesofcha0s 04-25-2011 09:14 AM

That's retarded. I guess we will have to wait till Wednesday.
