Hey I noticed you had a post (way back in November of last year) in regards to someone have a rattle in their drivers door. You posted that the dealer adjusted something in the window regulator that fixed it. I have a door rattle too, and am beginning to suspect the window regulator. In my experience with similar equipment in an industrial setting, it was always setup as per Buzzkill247 above - the work is done on the inlet side.

Remove some of grease from the hole (a Q-Tip is handy for such things) and see if any of the zerk is in there. This will tell you if it broke off or unscrewed itself.

The undertray is not just for keeping the elements out of the engine bay - it is also for aerodynamics and proper flow of air through the bay.
