We've been married 41+ years and long ago Debbie came to terms with my passion for cars. However, that doesn't mean I can spend as much as I want. I'm stunned at how much some of these younger guys spend on their cars. Either they all make over 150K or they have no life outside of their cars. Hopefully they have trust funds.

In general 18" tires are: Offered in more sizes. Are cheaper. Ride better provided they are a higher profile than the comparable 19" tire.
In general 19" tires are: Able to accommodate larger brakes. Offer better brake cooling. Have better steering response. Offer superior dry weather traction. Are available in lower profile and wider sizes.
So if you goal is a superior grand touring vehicle 18" tires and wheels have the potential to improve the ride over 19" tires and wheels. In the real world a 1" difference in diameter is not much of a change.
If your goal is a superior sports car 19" wheels and tires have the potential to provide superior cornering, braking and steering.
In my experience wet weather performance is highly dependent upon the tire selected and not so dependent upon tire diameter.
In my experience the tire selected will have a bigger influence on ride and road noise than the difference between an 18" tire and a 19" tire.
    So, why do you ask?

Tire pics are no big deal but I am quite interested in your reaction to the handling of the new tires and how they SOUND. You and I share similar concerns about road noise so I'm eager to see if the new tires live up to their reputation for reduced road noise.

Yea I try to take good pictures if at all possible.

I'm looking forward to your tire report.

It' like 70 degrees and crystal clear, terrific weather except if we don't get some rain soon summer will be really bad.

With 700 HP on tap be sure to use extreme caution, a little too much throttle and your rear tires will EXPLODE!

Still hot and sunny here, we need some rain soon or it will be a very dry winter.

It's hot, in the Low 80's, we are talking about going to Catalina Island for our summer in January.

I am glad you are ok as I was beginning to worry that something might have happened to you..what does this number tire rating you are talking about mean? Can you explain what you are saying in plain English? Not fu nottin' but youze aint making no sense ta me!
PS I really had second thoughts about my car because of the noise...I didnt notice this during the test drive,,,kind of like dating a girl with big boobs but not noticing she has no brains until its too late,,,you know what I mean?
    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I've been fine and the car is good. A close friend passed away after a long series of health issues. My wife and I did the video, so I was off line for about a week but I'm back.

25k on these tires would be somewhat better than most folks get. If your driving is mostly highway/freeway 25k might be possible but if your driving is mostly in town all of the turning, stopping and parking wears the tires down like erasers. These tires are optimized for high performance summer driving and have a 140 wear rating. Most performance tires carry a rating of about 250-300 and touring tires often rate out at 500+ so 25k would be on the high side. Be thankful you don't have a Vette as their tires typically run 50-100% more than ours.

I do love my sound deadening.
