Sorry to be so slow to respond to your questions about my side blades. I traded the Z in on a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport in October so I haven't been spending much time on this site.

I don't have a DIY on their construction. This is the type of project for someone who has access to a power saw, random orbital sander (helpful but not required), a belt sander, a router (helpful but not required, used to reduce the thickness on the hidden underside, but not the edges! of the blades) and a drill. You will need some basic shop skills too and the time (6-8 hours) and some sort of work space. Total cost was about $100.00. The picture in my album shows the finished skirts during the painting process. The exterior edge was established by scribing the profile of the rocker panel onto the material (5/8-3/4" Trex type planking, a waterproof 50% wood, 50% plastic composite often used as home siding which I purchased at Lowe's home center) and the width of the blade was based upon my opinion of what I thought looked best. The inside profile was determined by the need to provide a broad and secure mounting base while avoiding jacking points and other structures. The blades are mirror images of each other. All surfaces are primed and lightly hand sanded. I installed the Trex smooth side up and applied black paint on the bottom and black Plastidip on the top (to match the black Plastidip in the grill and back lower valance. Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks, I actually bought the switch from walmart for 3 dollars haha. I was surprised on how perfect it fit in that space and how clean it looked. The led strips are 12" long and are held on by a 3m backing which already came on the lights. All you had to do was peel and stick. All of the connections are soldered. I tapped into the 12v accessory port on the passenger side under the dash, also wired an inline fuse in. With everything included, the switch, wire connectors, inline fuse, led strips and the wire to run from the 12v accessory port to the switch then to the lights was about $40.

Orange lights look great, as does the switch. Got any info on this setup?
