When you are sticking that far above the oem hood. The cowl hood is the only way the cover everything. Get over it people. It's how you style and blend the cowl into the rest of the hood.

Hood update! Thomas and I were able to finalize on a design. I now have the model in autocad and will be putting the final touches.

For those commenting on the hood. We had already chose to remove the center vents. Thomas and I have really cleaned up the hood and it looks freaking amazing. Especially on the nismo! Like a mini...
