LOL, I went from Whiteline to Z1. Whiteline could not handle track abuse. I am not totally a fan as I had their front end links and one of them failed when I went off track. I know they are not made...

Your brake pads should be as aggressive as the tire you're running. The closer matched they are, the less prone to ice mode you'll be.

I've never gotten brake noise as a result of not running shims; only as a result of pad material. Tested many times.

Run it without the shims and don't give it a second thought. The only shims I ever use on my Z are 1mm Ti. heat shields in the front.

At those speeds, you might just want to invest in some better tires. I’ve been on the track at 140+ with the stock Sport trim and had no issues.
