Being a little off line, in the marbles, a little too hot for the corner, light flywheel, high compression motor, sudden lift of the gas pedal will do it.

with tires. you can have traction or tread wear. You can't have both. It's a trade off. OP was asking for lots of understeer at the wrong time. I would guess mid corner.

This is a bad idea. Mixing tire/tread compounds is dangerous. Your tires are the only thing between you and the road. That’s critical on any car, it’s 100x more critical on a high hp rwd car. ...
