jwick,

Thank you for answering some of my future customers PM's. I really appreciate it, especially since you took the plunge with the first ever BP G37 turbo kit. It is nice to see members passionate about this platform and willing to help other members up. Big :tup: to you sir.

Think it's time I seriously think about rear chamber and toe bolts. Then maybe upgrade to R compound. Sadly even if I dropped the coin for new rims I'm limited to about a 295.

Hotrodz 01-15-2015 10:52 PM

Yeah...but there really is not that much difference in the contact between 295's and 305's.

True...I'd probably lean more towards keeping stock rims and putting a 285 on them. Can't see any reason to drop $2k min on new rims just to run a 295.

Hotrodz 01-15-2015 11:09 PM

Yup...I'm with you on that, save the money for more tires!

That's the way I'm leaning. My tuners mechanic swears up and down with chamber adjustment, a set of coil overs and his special settings he can make it hook in any gear. Works so well that their NISMO with a TT Greddy kit on E85 blew out the rear diff :rofl2:

GaleForce 01-16-2015 08:30 PM

Hotrodz 01-16-2015 09:10 PM

Wow....I need those settings if he will share!

Getting my 3" intake tubes soon. I'll write a new review when it get back in the dyno

Hotrodz 03-08-2015 07:14 PM

Right on...that should free up some horsepower, but mostly you will see it in responsiveness as to better air flow.

YzGyz 03-09-2015 12:50 AM

Very cool.

Hey Jwick,

I sent you a quick pm. I look forward to your response.
Thanks

3" intake tubes in possession. Retune scheduled for May 2nd. Not looking for much more power but am interested to see how much improvement I get on the MAFs (currently maxed at full boost @ 7300rpms)

Hoping the weather holds up. It's creeping closer and closer to the 90's here in Texas. Saturday is forecasted in the low 80's sot that should be ok.

Mitco39 04-29-2015 09:22 AM

A guy doesnt stop by here in a few months and he misses a bunch of things! lol. Looking good.

Thanks bud! You finally thawing out up there?

Since you do you own tuning, anything in particular you'd like me to report back to you when I get my retune?

Mitco39 04-29-2015 09:47 AM

Yeah I had the car out now for a month or so, Im not one of the ones to wait till all the roads are swept. As soon as the snow is gone the car comes out. haha.

To be honest its been so long that I looked at uprev I dont remember what I had on the go last year. Id be curious if you started to hit a wall with your injectors size.

UpRev is definitely showing almost 100% injector duty at 11.8psi and 7300rpms. We backed my tune down to 11.3psi to go home with. The MAF was still maxed and injector duty was 96-97%. I've got a few things I'd like to gather more information on to try and figure out why UpRev says my fuel system is maxed when other BP kits pushing similar power are only at 75%.

I'll keep you posted.

3" intake tubes installed and retune complete:tup:

Pretty hot in the shop and on the streets in Houston so I didn't really get on it so no information on if there is any noticeable difference in throttle response.

New chart (crappy copy from my cell phone pic, will update with dynojet pdf copy when I get to a computer). Ten degrees hotter in the shop than last time. Old numbers were 502/464, so picked up a few hp and lost 20ish ft-lbs. Overall probably a healthier tune since torque is what kills engines. Likely get some of that torque back when weather conditions are better too. Definitely happy with the tube upgrade!

MAF readings are no longer maxed but injector duty is right at max. Next upgrade, after summer, is Phunks return setup, 1000cc and E85!

Is the EBC holding constant 12.5 psi? Do you think you need to add some gain?

I didn't really get to play with the car much to be able to answer that. It was hot in the shop and I just told Johnny to dial in the new intakes and lets get her off the dyno. On my way home it was so hot I was getting 140deg IAT so I didn't really beat on it. The rest of the weekend was completely booked so haven't driven since. Should be able to play a little on Friday since it's my day off.

I will say that in the past, according to my boosting gauge, it holds pretty steady all the way thru the band.

tonyHTX 05-04-2015 11:13 AM

I see, but looking back at your old graphs it seems the curves are getting smoother right? It is nice to be able to see the incremental changes that you have been making.
