It should not have. I will follow up. The car also does not want to turn off either. It takes a few button pushes.

italy3541 07-29-2013 12:00 PM

Sounds like a communication error in your ecu.. I wonder what's causing it. Keep me posted on what u find out.

I may just reflash my tune tonight and see what happens. Not getting any strange codes other than the usual crap. Either a sensor is bad or its not communicating right. Smode still holds throttle on upshift but will not blip on downshift...idk. Sucks I am at work and cant really mess with it.

italy3541 07-29-2013 12:13 PM

I think it's something to do with the tune. It would be the only thing I can think of that would cause issues with the ecu making it not want to turn off when u hit the button. I would reflash it and see what happens. Could just be a glitch with the tune.

Perhaps. We shall know soon. Hopefully that's all it is. It is weird it came on after being good for so long. But hey. Welcome to aftermarket life haha

italy3541 07-29-2013 12:24 PM

True words buddy. I'm very curious to know what it is let's hope it's something simple.

It's going in a S14 Zenki.

It's an RB25DET NEO :) Not a very common engine here in the states so it's taking a lot of research and cross-checking everything to be sure we get the right parts. The benefits of the NEO engine make it worth it tho.

Anyone ever see this? Car functions as usual. Came on while driving to lunch.

Fluids are good. Reset battery and it came on again right away. Scanning cels soon.

Said it before and I'll say it again, the electrical system on this car is a bitch that does not like to be messed with at all.

Do 2011s have steering wheel lock issues? Intelligent key warning is lit up at the moment.

Supposedly early 11' builds did, one confirmed. Mine is a late build, but can't give much more in detail about info on mine (not there to look)

Fair enough. Mine is august 2011 so It is a late build as well...hmm cant wait to get home and tear into this issue. Been eating at me all day at work.

Also read on the 350 forum that low rotors and tires can cause these lights as well. My front tires are def low.

JARblue 07-29-2013 03:39 PM

Assuming that you have a steering lock at all, it is likely a Rev D. Those cars that came with Rev D are not on the recall list because Nissan has decided that after four revisions they finally got it right (I don't think so...). If it fails you might have to fight to get a dealer or Nissan Corporate to cover the costs of the repair.

Yeah I don't think it is that I was just wondering since that light is on. Im reflashing my tune and checking a couple of relays that we had extended for the wire tuck in a couple of minutes. Just weird this is an issue now after the car as been startable for 2 weeks and drivable for 1 week. Im assuming the reflash/checking wires will be the winner. Everything performs fine...drove it for like 20 muinutes at lunch time with 0 odd noises or performance issues.

Awwwwwww snap. Glad someone else has used it. That dyno video has me sold. That blanket and some heat wrap will be super nice.

Edit: just got an email from John.

MyKindaGuise 07-30-2013 09:03 AM

Update....John is working on scheduling time to come down to PA to dyno tune with my car. Might have all of the power this weekend/next week/weekend. Mostly depends on our schedules clashing.

theDreamer 07-30-2013 11:54 AM

MKG, once you get it tuned and ready, PM the final details of your turbo build so I can add it to the finished builds thread.

Bought to place an order...They make all sorts of stuff...good lord.

Sh0velMan 07-30-2013 03:37 PM

Pretty sure that heat wrap is grossly overpriced.

Sh0velMan 07-30-2013 03:37 PM

Oh, 100ft, nevermind...

Yeah the DEI 50x2 wrap I bought was $49.99.

The nice thing with PTP is they have Ebay whole salers so you cant get everything from there for even less. Lava Turbo Blanket goes for about $99 instead of $149

dmhenderson 07-30-2013 04:17 PM

Hey do I need a turbo blanket for my rotary supercharger or would that be a waste?

MyKindaGuise 07-30-2013 04:37 PM

Heat control is always a good thing. Not sure what all yiud see from it though. Or if one is even available.

dmhenderson 07-30-2013 04:57 PM

Yeah the SC doesn't sit in the same place your turbo does.

Chuck33079 07-30-2013 05:40 PM

Plus, you're not running exhaust gas through it, so I'd think you would be fine without it.

yeah I know but this car has heat issues.

Chuck33079 07-30-2013 06:24 PM

You would have to use header wrap. Those blankets are usually shaped for the hot side of a turbo, and you only have a compressor side. I'm not even sure what part of the sc you could wrap.

dmhenderson 07-30-2013 06:50 PM

Thermal coating on all of the IC piping and titanium heat wrap on the headers already done :)

MyKindaGuise 07-30-2013 07:22 PM

So Nissan is going to warranty everything out but I have to wait til Friday for everything :/ but its like $500 worth of sensors
