I used SEM texture spray. The finish can be smoothed out more. I did that first and thought it was too smooth. I resprayed the texture and was happy with this look. It's a little more texture than stock, but close. I think the harsh lighting in the photo makes it look more textured than it really is.

After the texture is applied, I sprayed the whole thing with Satin Black plastic/leather flexible dye.

Top notch materials were used. A can of texture coating and a can of dye was $56.

I would not recommend using krylon. Unless you don't mind it looking like crap in a few months
