Gale - Didn't see it listed in your engine mods information on the front page but are you running stock returnless fuel setup or did you upgrade to a return system?

Still stock. I was/am going to get Charles' 1.5 system, but put it on hold because I would need to get a retune. If I'm going to retune, I should do the BP 1.5 upgrade.... and to top it off Defi discontinued the CR fuel pressure gauge, I wanted to get one to replace my boost gauge... so I might be looking at doing new triple gauges...

I hope it doesn't fall off into the Pacific Ocean while you are there :tiphat:

GaleForce 02-10-2015 08:40 AM

Ok, the shît has hit the fan. I was planning on shipping the car at the end of the month, so i was putting orders ahead of my Z, like usual. Well.... The shipping company emails me yesterday to let me know they moved up the shipping date to next week and I need to get the Z to their storage facility by Thursday.

Things that I need to get done, install Amuse brace, remove AFR gauge, remove Boost Controller, install new AFR gauge/Boost Controller, install coilovers, install SPL suspension components, install the factory bumpers/side skirts, and make a mould for a new rad cooling plate. Oh, and run wire for DRL, clear a code that popped up on the last drive from last autumn, clean the car.... Needless to say I took Tuesday and Wednesday off from work.

I started last night after work, this is how the interior looks right now.

Wish me luck

:icon17: Yes, I should. What would be the best day(s) to be there? Did I see correctly that the show is on 4/25?

I don't think I can swing it, but maybe if I can use some airline points, I can come out for a day

I'll be there for the show, and most of the following week.

New radiator cooling plate, planning to produce this so people can run SPAL (or other) fans?

We might not be talking about the same thing, I am talking about the plastic piece at the front of the engine bay, between the rad support and the top of the front bumper.

Is that the piece you're talking about? If so, do you have examples of the fit issue with SPAL fans?

Oh no, I was thinking of the fan shroud that sits behind the radiator that helps the fans direct air.

I'm calling it quits for today.

Amuse bar installed, Kenwood DNN911 HD installed, ran wiring for future stereo set-up, new boost controller/ AFR gauge installed, removed old AFR/Boost Controller set-up, reworked/hid the boost sending units and boost controller solenoid, put the interior back together.

Suspension tomorrow, and install the factory bumpers/side skirts.

JARblue 02-10-2015 11:47 PM

Whew! Nice work today. Hope the rest goes smoothly

want to see pics :pics:

GaleForce 02-11-2015 08:01 AM

Pics will be coming later... if I have time to take some.

I will say this, the Amuse bar install is a complete pain in the a$$. I don't want to go through that again for a very long time.

Ugh really!?!? I'm glad I am waiting until after bodywork to install mine. It sounds like that would be the time to install any wiring for sound system as u will have the whole rear of the car apart :shakes head:

U did get a good amount done thou

I would do the bar and wiring before the bodywork/paint just so you're not crawling all over your fresh finish. And yes, wiring is best with all the plastic out. Unfortunately I get to do it all over again when I run my speaker wire :ughdance:

Stupid speaker wire  I was holding off on the harness bar as I was worried when they did the paint they would scratch it taking some of the rear plastic pieces out and the tail lights. If they are dumb and store them in the trunk they would scratch my $1k harness bar. That's the main reason I have held off. Atleast this way I'm the only one who maybe and that's a huge maybe scratch my new paint is me :eek:Ugh now I'm kinda thinking about it. It's so sexy :yum:
Im just so paranoid now with my car and it "looks"'like a total pos :inoutroflpuke:

I'm recovering from 2 solid days out in the garage.

Removed, HKS EVC-s boost Controller, Innovate Motorsports MTX-l AFR gauge, swift springs and factory struts, facotry control arm/camber arms, factory radio, removed the body kit.

Installed,

Amuse titanium rear brace, SPL Front and Rear Camber arms, SPL Lock out bolts, M7 Japan coilovers, Innovate Motorsports SCG-1 boost controller/AFR gauge, Kenwood DNN 991 HD head unit, wiring for future amplifiers, redid the vacuum lines/ hid the wastage solenoid and boost sending units, reinstalled the factory bumper and side skirts, and washed the car.

Yesterday morning I trailered the car to TFX International in Toronto, they will handle transporting the car to Bulletproof Automotive in California.

Here's a fun picture, more to follow.

It's a Radical.

You should have seen all the Exotics they had there. Ferrari Ontario/Canada use them exclusively for transportation. I was

It was funny to see the guys in the shop drop what they were doing when they noticed the big intercooler on my car. I'm like, you have all these exotics sitting around, this is just a little ol' 500whp Nissan. :roflpuke2:

Lmao... Man I'm excited for you! not sure how well you sleep at night with the Z being so far away. It'll be worth the wait I'm sure! Did it cost an arm and a leg to ship?

Man I wish you lived closer or I had u our skills lol! Looking forward to the unveiling in a couple of months my friend.

Yes, shipping is expensive. First it was hard to find transportation companies, then when I did, prices were all over the place. Once I found someone I was comfortable with, they said they were't available during the time frame we originally agreed to. I frantically searched for transportations companies once more, this time googling "exotic car transport". I found TFX, they looked most professional, and came in cheaper than the rest. I am comfortable with them handling my car. Plus, I put the Z in valet mode which limits RPM to 4500.

So far this entire ordeal has been a major pain in my a$$. I am very hopeful that things go well in California with Bulletproof Automotive, and Auto Explosion.
