LOL! at the basket!
Sweet updates! I need a 3 pod pillar. Any plans to do more? |
hmmmmm, Mrs. Force might be a little peeved.... :icon17:

If cost is a factor, a cheaper (and still nice) option would invovle using universal gauge pods and mould them to the a-pillar. |

The ones I have now Dave put in and are super clean. Yet they still do not look like a factory item. If I get time I will try and take a picture tonight.

The part I ordered from Nissan is to make my pod look more factory. I should have thought about it before I started doing the work, now I have to "undo" some of it. Oh, well. It's going to look great once it's done. |
Nice, the mesh looks perfect.. EVC-S :yum:

Shaved carbon
Had a productive couple of hours out in the garage. Shaved the carbon fangs to fit with the Mine's lip, and test fit the moustache.

Also found a guy 30 minutes away that will be able to rework my Berk CBE so it mates up with the Boosted Perfomance turbo kit  Happy, happy, happy! |
Looking Good! Can't wait to see the finished front end!

I'm looking forward to it too. I just noticed, while looking at the picture I posted, an area that I'm not entirely happy with... I need to find time to get into the garage to have a closer look... :ugh2: |

Everything is looking great! I am waiting to see what you have in store for that gauge pod. As I told you I have a 52mm multi gauge that I want to mount in that spot. I'll do a temporary mounting until you have your plans all sorted out!
|
Man, that front end is looking good. I love that CF look. Good job, you have some amazing skills. McGuyver doesn't even start to describe them!!!

So, good news... I just received a phone call from the local dealership, the part I ordered for my gauge pod is in :woot: The bad news... I don't have the time to work in the garage for a few days :shakes head: |
Teaser... last one until it's finished

Well... finished
I customized the bezel from the Innovate Motorsports A/F ration gauge from gloss black to a nice satin black to match the other gauges. Top = Factory Bottom = Custom http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8504/8...b6f0d46c_c.jpg IMG_2437 by J M Gale, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8080/8...4805f8c6_c.jpg IMG_2436 by J M Gale, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8501/8...7ebf0c89_c.jpg IMG_2445 by J M Gale, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8078/8...8d693093_c.jpg IMG_2446 by J M Gale, on Flickr It'll be a little while before I mount it in the car as I need to remove the IP so I can swap out the triple gauges. |
:yum: I can haz?
I didnt forget about the requested pic of mine, just been lazy lol. The car is so far away in the garage and sitting in it just to take a picture annoys me to even think about lol. |

Is that black crinkle coat for a finish? Did you just spray bomb it? wow! :yum:

After the texture is applied, I sprayed the whole thing with Satin Black plastic/leather flexible dye. Top notch materials were used. A can of texture coating and a can of dye was $56. I would not recommend using krylon. Unless you don't mind it looking like crap in a few months :icon14: |

Great work here, did not see this thread till now.
I just don't know if the car will be as fast as it looks with the turbo kit. Great project....looking forward to the finished product, although it looks like you are a lot like me...it is never finished. |
