thanks!

Hey mike have you noticed the bubbling under the headlights on the stillen bumper?
|
Yes, believe me. I see it. The bodyshop did what they could with it, but I can see the flaw
|
so even your body shop couldnt fix it?
|
Hey mike, if you get sick of the flaws on the front fascia, I'll take it off your hands
Car's looking great!... I was thinking about what it needs aesthetically at this point and all I can come up with is maybe sideskirts?... I think they'd flow nicely from the lip on the fascia and would help balance out the slammed to the ground look... what do you think? btw, any clearance issues? |
My body shop is having problems with the same thing, I had a 1/2 inch gap under the driver side headlight. They weren't too happy with the fitment.
|
I think you should get some new rims, the S-tune parts are the ugliest things you could put on the Z. If you got some real nismo rims and powder coated them it would look SICK

Mike I like everything but the.............
Sheeit, that thing should be illegal it's so damn nice. Wish I had been at Zdayz to see it in person. |
Well unfortunately I have the same problem with my Stillen roof wing and Rear spoiler. Both parts came to me flawed, and I'm returning them both and getting my money back. I do not like the urethane. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I'm going to stay away from urethane for good.

Travis,
I think I will be keeping it. The bulge didn't look so obvious when I picked it up. The bodyshop did point it out to me though. Soon enough, the bumper will be full of chips from the track, and it doesn't bother me enough to warrant them replacing it, only for me to have to get it reblended, painted and installed. I may do car shows like Zdayz or The Run down in tampa, but thats really just to participate, not to win. I don't even really clean my car before a show. As for the nismo rims, thats all shes getting other than the track wheels. This car rarely sees the street. I was supposed to also use it as an airport car, but they recently put some speed humps in the parking lot and now the exhaust scrapes leaving work, so I don't think I will be driving it there much either. |

The clearance issues mostly are with the tiny rubber flaps in front of the front tires. They scrape on everything, as they are only 1" off the ground. They are wearing down nicely though. The other issue is the one noted above with my work parking lot and the exhaust scraping. I can't believe the bumper doesn't and the exhaust does, but the angle from the up ramp to the level part to the down ramp parts of the speed hump is just a little too much. |

less halloween........ more cowbell :)

ahahaha airport car! i remember that excuse. 1 month later it was like 3 sets of wheels and 2 sets of brakes. whoops?
car definitely looks 100x meaner with the wing and stillen front and i love the way justin did the graphics for sure. |
I need to lift it up and see whats scraping, but I think I can live with a little scrapeage for the joy of driving it to work. It really was supposed to be an airport car though!!!!
|
too bad i didnt think about getting a ride at zdayz. 1 day ill definitely make a track day with you though.

It was a hot day. I don't know if the wheel got well over 400 degrees, or if this formulation of powdercoat can't take as much heat as the other colors I use, but the powdercoat actually melted at the hub and discolored on the spokes after a couple of hot sessions at Barber. You can see where it spread out and ran onto the rotor. Hope its not too hard to remove the wheels now. |
Nice looking Z Mike!
|
I really love the orange. Good luck with finding out what's happing with the powder coating.
