Is that for the pulleys or the short shifter that you're talking about?

Huck 05-02-2014 12:10 PM

Oh wow, I didn't even realize. I haven't looked at the page for updates in a couple of weeks, been busy working on the car every day I can after work.

Zdayz 2014!!

Huck 05-09-2014 08:47 AM

So I've been working feverishly to get everything ready for Zdayz. For the past two weeks I've been taking my car apart every day after work and installing or adjusting something. Last night I got my rear sway bar installed, along with my new SPL end links on all four corners. Holy hell does it handle better now! The Z feels so much more planted and stable now. I still have my 34 row setrab oil cooler to install, and I don't think the guy sent me the bracket so I'm gonna have to make my own. Then I have to install my backup camera, rewire my amp, repair paint and install my diffuser, and adjust my coilovers. Busy busy!

Here's a quick pic to show some of the progress.
19" Forgestar F14 wheels 9.5/11 +20/+15
M7 coilovers
Mines lip with Evo-R cf fangs
Whiteline sways
SPL end links
Akebono bbk upgrade, drilled/slotted rotors, SS lines, Centric pads, ATE typ200 fluid
Modded headlights: flat black housing, pearl white matched shrouds, dual projectors, quad halos, red, blue, and purple demon eyes in all four lenses.

Huck 05-09-2014 09:09 AM

Oh, and here's a quick video I took last night while installing the rear sway bar. The neighbors across the street are coll as hell, they're a bunch of rednecks working in airboats and drinking beer and shooting shotguns, so we joke with each other all the time. Their favorite one is that their trucks were made with tools and my car was made with chopsticks, to which I usually reply that his Ford F150 is the one that's been dead in the driveway for two weeks now. Anyway, here's the video. It kinda sounds like crap when it's idling, but when you rev it... Holy hell...

Oh, and no, the sound isn't distorted at all. That's actually how it sounds lol.

I was surprised too, I've toyed with the idea of doing electronic cutout valves to have it go full open pipe when I'm flying down the road, cause it DOES sound pretty ballsy. Ive also thought about hooking up an AAM mid pipe and short tails to the headers to see how that would sound, but I wouldn't want to run it like that all the time.

So far I love it, on the soft setting it's really comfy, more so than my swift springs I had. On full stuff it hu gals the road like you wouldn't believe, in conjunction with my Whiteline sways. I could sit somewhere around 25" from the ground to the highest point of the fenders. Almost slammed. I'm sitting at 26.5" right now.

New York City is pothole central all year round. They patch them up but then they just re-open few months later. It cost a lot as well I'm assuming to strip an entire street and re-pave it.

+The way I drive, I'd have to swerve around like a mad person. Also driveways here for restaurant parking lots or w.e are designed horribly. They have such a steep incline that with my stock height I scrape the bottom of my car just trying to get into a burger king, lol.

Every time I go to Orlando, I always comment on how amazing the roads are.

Actually the interior vanes on these rotors are straight up and down, non-directional, so it does t matter which side you put them on. I put them on that side for the aesthetics. Thanks for the suggestion though

Zdayz 2014!!

Gonna be updating this thread here in the next few days when I get some time, I've been really busy lately. Monday's are my only day off and now even those are filled up with doctors appointments.

Did I mention on here that I got rear-ended the day after I got back from Zdayz? I can't remember. But yeah, now I have doctors appointments all the time for my back which got messed up in the accident. Chick rear ended me at about 45mph, she hit me so hard it ripped my sub out of my Zenclosure box and laid it in the hatch. Now I have to go to a chiropractor and get acupuncture, and the newest thing is getting Cortizone injections in the spine. Apparently I have 10 protruding discs in my spine now, yayyy...

But yeah, I'll post of lots of pics of all the new mods and some of the install stuff soon.

My most recent purchase was SPC front camber arms from DE/Andrew. I really need to fix my camber, it's crazy all the way around since I decided to drop the car a bit more. I'll take pics of that too lol. But anyway, I was running -2.5 and -2.3 in the front, and -3.0 and -2.7 in the rear. Yeah... that's gotta get fixed. I installed the fronts a few days ago, and the alignment guy said he couldn't get one front arm into spec, so now my front is running 0.0 on the driver side and -1.6 on the passenger. This translates into pulling one way when I drive and even worse pulling when I hit my brakes. Gonna pull the arm off tomorrow and see if I installed something wrong. When I was installing it the rubber boot with the peg that goes into the control arm came out and so I put it back in, I'm wondering if I put it in backwards or something. Anyway, they're pretty easy to install so it shouldn't take too long. Hopefully tomorrow I can upload a lot of pics so you guys can see the new stuff

Meulen 08-24-2014 10:24 PM

Can't wait to see Huck!

Huck 08-25-2014 01:43 AM

Well I started the process of the update, trying to make a comprehensive list of the mods and posting links to them when I can. I'm gonna have to upload a lot of stuff to photobucket and then link it here. Fun Fun :) Here's a few update pics...

No worries man, I'm not trying to say it was your fault at all. Honestly they looked good to me when I pulled them out and inspected them, it was probably something that I did wrong. I really think it could be that ball joint with the rubber boot, I might have turned that around or something, idk. But I wouldn't put you on blast like that bud  I'll try to take it apart tomorrow and let you know what I find!

Huck 08-25-2014 01:56 AM

Here's the carbon fiber hood struts I got from B2auto, I love not having to prop the hood up and it makes more room for working on the engine bay. Not bad for just over $100.

Pics of my new LED reverse lights and license plate lights from VLEDS.com, the reverse lights are 500 lumens each and the plate lights are 180 lumens each. This should light up everything a LOT better so that I can see where I'm backing up at through my reverse camera at night.

and here you can see how well it lights up whatever is behind you :) (did I mention I LOVE LOVE LOVE bright lighting?)

Will do man. And like I said, it's not that much trouble anyway, these are an easy 3 bolt install. Plus you gave me the motivation I needed while I was installing these to pull out my one coilover that had a stuck dampener knob, I was able to fix it up and get full adjustibility again, so thank you lol. Hopefully I'll be able to install my rear camber arms tomorrow as well, and I'll wait and see about the toe bolts. It looks like my rear toe will be fine, and I really wanna start getting GTspec brace bars in the future. If I install the toe bolts I won't be able to get the rear 2 point brace bar.

DEpointfive0 08-25-2014 02:10 AM

Don't get that POS. No need to make the rear stiffer

Huck 08-25-2014 02:11 AM

Why is it a pos? I want all 3 braces, the 2, 4, and 6 point. Then the harness bar as well. You don't like GTspec?
