Ah regret. I had the same feeling for my 285 Contis in the rear. I hated the gap between the lip of the rim and tire. It was the longest 9K miles ever. :bowrofl:

Who's got dibs on sloppy seconds? ...sorry, what are we talking about?

Just towel her off and then batter #2 will be good to go. :ugh2:

:bowrofl:

wheee! 04-24-2012 01:30 PM

UpRev installed last night! Still haven't had the chance to take her out. Darn rain and sloppy streets....

edconline 04-24-2012 08:58 PM

Nice! The canned tune should help a bit, but you gotta get those logs done!

Zat_Zuma 04-25-2012 08:35 AM

I wanna see your logs! :stirthepot:

wheee! 04-25-2012 09:30 AM

I will have them as soon as the weather cooperates!!!

wheee! 04-30-2012 07:34 AM

I have noticed a distinct improvement in the vehicles response and drivability with the canned tune from UpRev. Still need to find the time and place to do the 0-60 runs!

wheee! 05-06-2012 06:11 PM

Installed the SS clutch line.... added to the first page of the mod diary.

edconline 05-06-2012 10:12 PM

Did you notice an improvement in pedal feel/clutch engagement?

wheee! 05-06-2012 11:16 PM

No major difference really. Just a sense of security knowing the line will never swell or expand under heat or stress. Makes me sleep better at night, lol!

...now gimme your camber arms!

LakeShow 05-07-2012 12:38 AM

SS brake lines next?

wheee! 05-07-2012 07:20 AM

Nope. They are already in the signature block, done! Had them on last year. I noticed a difference with those on right away. Great mod!

Oil cooler on the garage floor, waiting for the next oil change to go in...

SPC Camber arms and toe bolts ordered this weekend, waiting for parts to arrive then off for another alignment. Goodbye -2.8 camber, hello ~2.0 camber. Can't afford to scrub off the 305's like that!

Nice ! Ironically just got my oil cooler today, and STILL have not done anything about my negative camber LOL. I also still have the pulleys that have been laying around for a few months now because I am too chicken to give it a shot.

I dig your car :tup::tup:

wheee! 05-11-2012 09:04 PM

Thanks...eternal work in progress

Got the oil cooler installed! Yay!

SPC Camber arms went on RoZy last night. No pics of the install as I was time pressed, but it went great.
Alignment day is this Sunday with the Zedmonton Lounge at Fountain Tire. Will get some shots of it then!

The camber pattern was pretty obvious before i installed the new arms....

Alignment day was yesterday and we got three cars thru Landon's shop. My rears are now sitting pretty at -1.2. Very happy with this setting and the 305's....

Forgot to mention that I got the SS Clutch line retaining clip back on while I was doing the oil cooler install. It was a pain, but I feel better knowing that there will be no vibration damage to the line!

Also did the steering lock fuse delete so I don't have to worry about the Steering Lock crapping out while I am in the middle of no-where!

My next mod may very well be a full paint correction (again) and acrylic paint sealant... I am just tired of fighting swirls with just standard carnauba polish.

simota1 06-13-2012 03:17 PM

nice mods bro... which retaining clip are you talking about? and do i need one?

The one where the top of the SS line attaches to the hard line, beside the exhaust manifold outlet. It slides off to remove the old rubber line and then needs to be replaced when the new SS line goes in to prevent vibration wear. It's just a pain to get at!

simota1 06-14-2012 09:13 PM

ahhh kool man i have a ss clutch line also but havent installed it yet... where can i purchase one? the retaining clip thing

wheee! 06-14-2012 09:46 PM

It's already on the car. It holds the stock line in place. You also get an extra one when you remove the stock line from the tranny too!

Had the wheels checked for balance today as there was a slight shimmy in the steering at about 120 kmh. Took the wheel off at the shop and found this:

http://www.the370z.com/members/wheee...ric-spacer.jpg

Hub centric ring had snapped clean off!
Luckily, my buddy that owns the shop had a spare set of 15mm H&R spacers and I was able to get one from him to replace it. Now I'll have to see how good the warranty is from H&R!

Not really. I checked it out as soon as I felt the vibration. No problems really.

Did a small mod this last week... swapped ONE of my hood dampeners from the V2 Kellyefields kit with ONE of the V1 kits. The lift is now perfect! Drops closed about 1 ft above closed position and raises smoothly after the 1 ft mark on its own. No bounce at the top and a smooth fitment when closed. Now mine and NuffZed's car have a mixed pairing but perfect balance of lift and drop! Very happy!

Mine at the last car show:

NuffZed's in my garage getting some installs, plus the hood lift mod.

Just back from the Okanagan BC.... 3200km's round trip thru the Rockies. Car ran flawless and turned heads everywhere. Mostly while I passed them at a high rate of speed :)

Gave her a quick detail today (3 hours) and a quick once over.. time for another oil change!
