Drove the Z all day "spirited", about 90 degrees out, temps didn't get over 190 on the water. Car driving really well rite now. Can't wait to get it on a dynojet regardless of the clutch issue.

Just read this whole thread, love everything you did man, great pioneering!! Also, that orange 240 was a shop car built by Blake Hughes, the owner of 417Motorsports here in Springfield MO. He used to drive it around town and wreck everyone, not sure how much of a "street car" it was lol..

We haven't seen an O&G sighting in years. I personally know this car has been sold at least twice since he got rid of it.

Yep, O&G sold it a long time ago and went onto other things.
Jwick is right, the car has changed hands many times and since the last FS ad I never saw where it ended up.

Whoever bought it last ended up taking it to JTran and having some serious additional work done to it. I don't recall all the specifics but I remember seeing it in the shop a year or so back.

Yea, that project turned more into a nightmare due to various issues. I learned a TON about car mechanics, problem solving and money management. I still feel I helped blaze a trail to alternative options on the VQ37 platform and unique DYI upgrades. The 370 was a beautiful car but not near as fun as my prior 350. My days now consist of working the oil patch, saving money for land, investing and driving my beloved Ford diesel pickup :) I spent considerable funds throughout my 20s trying to go fast. I mite revisit the hobby again later in life and actually go fast! Drive safe my Z Familia!
