LoL, I just made the journal 6MT, Pics are on the way! ;)

EDIT:
Actually, I was just looking through my photos and I really have nothing more up to date than the ones in my album on here, it's been a long time since I've done a photoshoot! I'll have to wait a couple months until I'm home again and do one so I have some pics for this album!

djpathfinder 09-03-2011 04:08 AM

IBTL. LOL, no I'm just kidding. Good to see that you started a journal. That mod list is pretty long already. Good job! Some good upcoming mods too.

Thought I would post up some pics I found of the test fit I did with the new Status Ring GT seat while I was home on leave. Excuse the poor photo quality, they were on my phone

Update 2 Feb 2012.
Updated the first page with the current mod list as the F.I. Exhaust replaced the Stillen (which I will be listing in the parts for sale here once I'm home) and I got the GTSPEC braces and GTR start button installed on my last leave.

The mods waiting in the girlfriend's garage back home are growing! Only one month of tour left then about 9 weeks of leave to get it ready for spring unveiling!
Mods waiting for install:
- Koni Yellow's and Swift Springs
- Z1 SS clutch line
- Racing Brake 2-piece open slot front rotors, Powerslot 1-piece slotted rear rotors
- Racing Brake ET500 F/R pads
- Password JDM SS shift knob
- Custom harness bar
- Yokohama Advan RZ-DF matte black 19x9.0 ET25, 19x10.5 ET15

I also purchased a competition clutch lightweight steel flywheel however I will probably wait out on installing that until my stock one starts to wear out so I can have a new clutch and CSC installed at the same time.

Other goodies are new porter cable polisher and full Adams Polishes detailing kit.
Still to buy for the spring is another Status Racing seat, RE-11's in 305/275 and need to get my calipers powdercoated still! Also, another full fluid change is in order. All in all, it will be a busy spring modding but that's the best way to spend the days waiting for a snow free Canada

djpathfinder 02-02-2012 09:20 AM

Great looking seat Edconline! Interested to see your car with all her mods in place this spring and to see her run at the track!

wheee! 02-02-2012 10:30 AM

Boost boost boost boost.... :roflpuke2:

Zat_Zuma 02-02-2012 10:32 AM

Yes
Boost is fun and additive :driving:

wheee! 02-02-2012 10:38 AM

You just gotta do it in 'stages' lol

edconline 02-02-2012 10:57 AM

Well all the guys with boosted Z's can take me for rides at the first meet and try to sway me early then ;)

Mike 02-02-2012 07:28 PM

Ed, I got a UPS notice that today was the second delivery attempt. They need to collect taxes from your girl, and I don't know if they will try more than three times, which would be tomorrow.

edconline 02-03-2012 12:37 AM

EDIT: Mike, she called and rescheduled for a day she is home next week as she was in school every day this week. Thanks again for the heads up and the hookup on the Koni's

edconline 02-03-2012 03:21 PM

Purchased these off of FairladyZ10PG, excellent condition and it was a pleasure doing business with him

djpathfinder 02-03-2012 04:54 PM

Cool! I vaguely remember talking to you about your new wheels. That should look sharp on your car!

 I really miss the advans. There's a world of difference between these and my current set. I might go back and get these again if I come up with some spare cash. :rofl2: Hurry and get them mounted!

That is indeed the plan, just have to get out of Afghanistan first! :shakes head:

Although my time here is paying for most of the mods, so I guess I can't really complain :p

wheee! 02-04-2012 03:17 PM

I know a guy who knows a guy that has a shitter truck leaving by the west gate at noon tomorrow... be in it!

... the rest is easy once you hit Pakistan!

djpathfinder 02-04-2012 03:32 PM

It's amazing what you can get by trading a goat...LOL!

wheee! 02-04-2012 03:33 PM

Touch that goat and you're a dead man! she's mine!!

wheee! 02-25-2012 01:09 PM

Anything new Ed?

theDreamer 02-25-2012 01:12 PM

Question on the Status seats, do you feel they can be installed lower than the stock seats? I got to finally sit in a set of Bride Stradia (Low Max) in a 370z and they provided some extra head room, but the Status seats I sort of want more.

edconline 02-25-2012 01:33 PM

No updates yet, 10 days out from being back in Canada then the modding and updates will start pouring in!

As far as the Status seat, it felt maybe a touch lower than stock, but I would have to measure to be sure. This was with the side mount brackets on the middle setting, so there was a bit more room to go down as well. When I get home again and get a chance I'll take some measurements

Awesome, I might have to look at the seats in more detail if they do provide some head room. Being 6'4" does have its downsides now and again.

Putting a lot of (perhaps misplaced) faith in the camera of the iPhone 4S lol, have to take some better pictures soon. Modding will finally begin sometime next week :excited:

djpathfinder 03-09-2012 02:05 AM

Nice man! It's like Christmas all over again!

wheee! 03-09-2012 07:49 AM

I dunno Ed.... I think that's a lot of stuff at once. Might as well give me the Koni's to test out for you while you install all the other goodies.... :roflpuke2:

theDreamer 03-09-2012 09:03 AM

Where did you get the harness par?

Harness bar is courtesy of member BGTV8 (Robin) really hooking me up, he had these made in AUS by a company that has since closed, however he was able to grab the remainder of their stock before they did. He still has the jig and I believe he said he could get more made on a case by case basis, you would need to contact him for details/quote.

pffft... he's just using it to mount interior rave lighting kit.... :roflpuke2:

edconline 03-21-2012 06:53 PM

Ok, some updates! RE-11's should be here Monday, then need to get them mounted and balanced next week on the Advans. Calipers are coming back from Mike mid-week next week, so I'll have to get those put back on with the new rotors and pads before taking it to the shop for the suspension. Also, waiting on the headlights, they are at 180custom right now. I have decided that the new "demon bolt" is not in fact the one on the stock cats as that was no big thing to get off. It is the one on the drivers side suspension, that goes through the bottom of the strut. Because this bolt cannot be taken out, the whole suspension will now be getting done by a local shop. Oh well.

Got the taillights back yesterday and reinstalled today, they look amazing! The paint looks so much better than the film did. Forgot to take pictures though :(
Door handles are off the car (That was not a good time :shakes head:) and out getting painted right now as well as the side markers.

I did get one package in the mail today:
http://www.the370z.com/members/edcon...nded-locks.jpg

Also, because it was fairly nice out this afternoon, I thought I'd snap one more pic of one of the rear wheels before the tires go on next week. I am so excited to see these things on the car!
http://www.the370z.com/members/edcon...ck-19x10-5.jpg

That's it for now, many more updates to follow!

SPOHN 03-21-2012 07:17 PM

All sorts of of goodies. Can't wait to see them on the car. Repped

edconline 03-21-2012 08:00 PM

Thanks for the rep!

FairladyZ10PG 03-21-2012 10:34 PM

I miss the advans so much :crying:
Can't wait to see them on your car.
