Sorry I didnt get to meet you at the woodlands c&c. I usually never go because of church and they go on cruises afterwards which is too much time to be away from the family responsibilities in a 2 seater. Headlights look great btw, post some closeups!

Now it looks complete :)

I'm just glad they're finally done, and that I did them myself as well..... this is an extremely rewarding modification, as you guys already know, night and day difference! I'll take it out for photos soon now that they're done and get them posted here |

The lights turned out awesome! I should have the last video of my DIY up today as well in the DIY section on how to take them apart and the baking process as well for the guys who haven't done this yet and are skeptical about doing it themselves.
The next few things I plan on doing are repainting my front emblem because its starting to get chipped up after a year-year & 1/2, and I would still like to get my wheels repainted gloss black with a paint matched pinstripe around the edge. I'd also like to get a mines wing add on or replica to add a little on the backside. as for performance, Iv'e still only got fast intentions exhaust with 18" resonators and don't plan on doing anything else unless I boost it which would be another year from now most likely after buying the Subaru. We also just spent some money on the Camaro, getting a brembo brake upgrade for it and having the calipers paint matched to the Synergy Green Metallic color, can't wait for that to be on the car. |

I wish I would have matched the shrouds now. I might pull them apart and redo them and add a set of halos

HDR TIME!!!
OK so I haven't made an HDR (High Dynamic Range) in a while, and I figured since I bracketed the exposure on these shots of the Z that I'd go ahead and open up Photomatix and give one a go..... Turned out pretty good! Lately I'll just edit the RAW photo in aperture or if I want to play a little more with layers I'd just export a few bracketed shots from Aperture and put them into Pixelmator (similar to photoshop) and edit them there. So here it is. http://images.us.viewbook.com/6e1f5a...fb46_large.jpg Really could have used some tire shine! |

Your Z looks great as is. I wouldn't touch a thing. Except maybe get the Mine's spoiler add on as the finishing touch.
You have it in your mind in how you want it to be so go with it. But I would be hesitant to add the pinstripe to the wheels since the spokes reach all the way to the tip of the tiny lip. I am just not sure how it will look once finished with the pinstripe going over a raised area all the way around the wheel. It may come out looking great. In for pics. |

The wheels I will probably just go ahead and get powder-coated gloss black, then worry about the pinstripe afterwards if I feel the need. |

Thanks for the comments guys. Got some quality pics for you now couldn't wait to take it out for photos with the new wheels.
Shot with Nikon D700, 70-200mm f2.8 VR1 lens with polarizer filter and editing done in Aperture and Pixelmator. http://images.us.viewbook.com/9b5475...4d56_large.jpg http://images.us.viewbook.com/66922a...bc26_large.jpg http://images.us.viewbook.com/eaff37...78a6_large.jpg http://images.us.viewbook.com/a964d2...c75e_large.jpg Pictures really do not show how badass these wheels look compared to the Niche's I had for a while, but in person... WOW!! Looks crazy, fitment is a lot better than with the Niche's although they really weren't bad. Had I kept them I was planning on getting them done Gloss black and adding spacers however a friend was selling his CV3's for a steal of a price so I jumped on em. Same wheels we've had on the Camaro for a while, gotta get these 2 in a photoshoot together, http://images.us.viewbook.com/e34db4...8921_large.jpg just a hassle loading up all the gear to take shots of your own cars lol. The next few things I've got to do now are roll up on some wood blocks and cut out some square shaped spaces on the bottom of my side skirts so I can jack it up easier, it runs all the way down the side basically over your "jack area" whatever its called. These skirts extend way under the car and there's hardly room to get a jack positioned correctly to get the car up without putting stress on the skirts and almost cracking them. The steps we had to take to swap the wheels were #1 roll up on 2x4's #2 use spare tire jack positioned ever so perfectly to raise it up just enough & not put too much stress on the skirts #3 place floor jack that we can finally position correctly to do final adjustment. The front tires on these wheels are shot, gotta get new ones like TODAY, so I gotta get to the skirt modification, and I have my redline oil and purolator filter for my second oil change (since my ownership), as well as K&N drop ins cause my stock filters are lookin pretty dirty. The Vossen's are 20x9 and 20x10.5 gotta hunt for the offsets but they're almost perfect fitment. need to change my profile pic and sig |
OK looking at the offset options for the wheels, I'm pretty sure they're the
20x9 +20 Front 20x10.5 +15 Rear The current tires in the front are 245/30/20's and I need advice on the new tire size as these ones are trashed and stretched as they were on an even lower Z before mine and needed to be stretched to fit, however I'm a tad bit higher and am thinking 255/35/20's might be a better option to really flush the wheels up, not to mention no one will install 245's on a 9" wheel, I'm starting to think 255's could flush it up I'm just worried about the sidewalls lookin all fat, I like the look of the tires now... What do I do? not worried about uneven tire wear, I'd just really like to hear that the 255's will look good and close the tiny tiny gap I've still got |

:yum: Very Nice!
