Default How the EVO-R rear valence is installed.....

I've had a few people ask about the rear valence (or diffuser as some like to call it) so here are some photos. This is an overlay, however to install this piece you will need to drill holes in your bumper.

Looking from above down by the rear fog light:

Looking from above down by the drivers side exhaust pipe:

Looking down at the driver & passenger sides:

Angles of the screws and holes drilled into my bumper during install:

Note that the screws were supplied by the autobody shop. The ones that came with the overlay were not long enough to use. Not saying this would be the case for everyone but in my particular case it was. An easy problem to resolve...so not a real big deal. And yes, I am aware of the slight gap that is visible in the photos. I did have another member tell me that this is not the first time the space is visible after installing this particular valence.

Tony, hate to say it man, but that doesn't look like it is fitting correctly. The edge should follow the groove in the bumper all the way across. Basically, the edge should sit inside that groove.

But if you look at the section that's covering the fog light it's perfect.....not much more can be done. CF can't be stretched...which is what looks like is needed with this one. I'm a little disappointed but from straight on it looks good. I may contact EVO-R and have them look at the photos. At least see what they say.

ya, I would. I wasn't saying it was an install problem, looked like a mold problem mating to your bumper. Mention it and see what they say, can't hurt!

Ah ok.....misunderstood ya! Yeah, I'm guessing it's a mold issue. Even the front part that covers the fangs sometimes needs to be shaved down because the lower lip makes it hard to slide the overlay on. I got lucky and my front CF parts worked well.

Again, I'm not too worried. Who knows....maybe I'll get a Version 2 or something!
