My '07 Z is still in the shop ( new forged motor ) otherwise I could measure it for you but the vette has a big butt and I doubt it would fit even with some cutting. The 370 Z's butt is more rounded on the bottom where as the vette's is more square.

Just a quick observation.

I'm with you

Someone needs to come up with this aftermarket for the 370. All we have right now is EVO's carbon fiber piece. Stillen or someone needs to do this for us

Until someone fabs a stainless steel or Tungsten C/S pos snsr: Muffler repair kit includes "asbestos" wrap and high-temp adhesive. I used it to protect my Ninja's rubber radiator hose from the evil Bassani race pipe! Available at Checker/AutoZone for $6.

Yup... credit to Lou Fusz's team for tracking this down for me! And at the end of it all, there were some folks in Nissan USA working hard as well, so I have no hard feelings there at all... It is a rather obscure part for a very new model - they weren't planning to replace one of these... Now fingers crossed that the right part shows up!

UPDATE: visited the car tonight... we took off over 55 pounds of exhaust from the behind the y-pipe!!! will replace that with 5 lbs of muffler and maybe 5 lbs of alum 3" pipe on one side, for a savings of 40+ lbs !

I will be selling the Stillen HFCs (replaced with strt pipes), and Stillen cat-back... I think 50% of current Stillen pricing is fair considering I haven't put more than a couple hundred miles on them... first come, first serve!

Take a look at the new corvette gt2 car for ALMS... notice the placement of the trans cooler at the rear? Looks like they have a large fan to draw air through as well... not sure where they pull the air from - any ideas? I'm thinking about doing something like this for my Z... carve out the indented area where the rear license plate currently lives and add a screen on the outside... on the inside, create a housing for two cores, one for trannie, one for diff... then feed air through the side scoops via hoses inside the rear hatch... Just an idea at this stage, going to have to do some more research and mock it up

1. Two (2) of these pumps - they are on sale!

Tilton Engineering 40-524 - Tilton Transmission and/or Differential Oil Cooler Pumps - Overview - SummitRacing.com Brand Tilton Engineering 40-524 Tilton Transmission and/or Differential Oil Cooler Flow Rate @ 12 Volts (gpm) 1-2 GPM Working Pressure (psi) 60 Temperature Range (degrees F) 0 to 265 3/8 inch NPT inlet and outlet size. These Tilton transmission/differential oil cooler pumps are positive displacement-type pumps that produce output directly proportional to motor speed. They're lightweight, self-priming pumps that may be mounted in any position up to several feet away from the tank.

2. Two (2) of these fan packs

To protect against larger, heavier objects as well, combine a layer of this mesh with a layer of our Coarse Mesh #4 (part #3642-Size).

Would also need a bunch of fittings and lines

So here is a shot of the crank pos. sensor. From the looks of it the factory knew this was going to be a hot spot, thats why there is all ready a cheesee heat sheild on it. Makes it easier to modify a bracket, here is what I did.

here is what the stock heat sheild looks like.

This is what it looks like in the car.

this is what i added to help block the heat

Its made out of stainless should do the trick.
