thanks boost. I agree... very satisfied with them.. the black headlights really tie it together...

and the turn signal is now a projector lens so its a bit crisper than it was before.. from far away it looks real cool as it is a "cleaner" illumination ... but up close you actually see the bulb a little bit as well as the amber light being projected...

Chuck, you gotta get the fangs resprayed.. all the way down the bumper so you don't see the white, its tripping my OCD lol

Here's the pics I took forever to edit, sorry...

Haha I like the white down there. My bumper is at the shop right now getting resprayed as my car sits at Nissan most likely with clear over the black because it chipped WAY too much ...

IMO I think it looks better with the white there. All the way down I feel like it looks like something is missing without a lip, I dunno. I guess it's all personal preference. The further you are away from my car the better it looks I think.

Your pics came out great though.

Well my car had another hiccup but it was taken care of. New clutch and flywheel were installed and I have credit for a new Fidanza + install so I am going to buy a clutch and csc for when it goes back in. It was a very unfortunate mistake by the mechanic who installed my flywheel which lead to some issues but the shop was as professional as they could be and gave me a stock clutch and flywheel at no cost and will be replacing my fkywheel ... Can't ask for more. But unfortuneatly someone lost their job over it. :-(. I guess that's life. No ones perfect.

Wow, that is great customer service! And yeah...you screw up something that costly, you're bound to lose your job.

Chuck the headlights look phenomenal. I might want to do the same.

jnaut 06-17-2011 07:47 PM

CHUCK, dont buy the southbend. Look at rcz thread as his clutch is incorrect and they dont wanna help him on the cost of fixing it.

chuckd05 06-17-2011 08:37 PM

Yea I have been speaking to him... he has a credit and is giving me some money off to get his.. if the problem is corrected I am doing him a favor by taking a credit off his hands that he doesnt want to use and i would be saving a few bucks ...

thats IF the clutch is corrected .... Also I dont know if I should go with stage 2 or 3 or really that clutch at all...

How does the painted housing affect the functionality of the headlight?

chuckd05 06-19-2011 10:20 PM

It doesnt effect the function of the headlights at all...

the housings are painted... and our cars use a projector lens which doesnt reflect off the housing at all.. its chrome simply to be chrome... not like old school halogen lights that reflect off the housings...

So lights are exactly how they were before they were painted. That is one of the reasons why I went this route over tinting or spraying your headlights.. I wouldnt do that anyway as It doesnt look as good either but you get the point..

hdskull 06-22-2011 06:19 PM

Great looking lights, how do the turn signals look like now?

chuckd05 07-02-2011 01:27 AM

Turn signals have another projector lens where out clear "cap" looking thing was...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also since have had my front bumper repainted due to chips on my white and an overall sand blasted appearance on my black area...

They did the fangs and upper black plastic and the sides of the fangs all in gloss black, my plastic was roughed up as well and with the gloss on the bottom I felt the top would go well glossed as well.. these are crappy cell pics but I will take some nice shots soon.. At first i was iffy about it, now I love it... Ive gotten a ton of compliments since it has been done... Since the headlights and bumper respray, the amount of glances are looks I get have gone up substantially, it's almost getting to be too much, lol..

Whats funny is Igor suggested I painted the fangs black all the way down, than my body guy said it would make his life easier and he was giving me an incredible deal on the respray so I said go for it.. I am very happy overall...

The M3 is my buddies and the nismo is a member of my gym , we always park close by each other, lol...

These pics really show no detail on how its glossy and you cant even tell the top portion is sprayed.. but its an updated shot for now...

Boost_lee 07-02-2011 03:25 AM

gloss upper plastic looks good with the fangs like that

KaienZ34 07-02-2011 08:36 AM

Just me, but i liked the small strip of white you had at the bottom of the fangs. I do like the painted upper plastic, and of course the lights are fvcking slammin.
