Kingbaby 02-22-2012 02:13 PM

do you have stock numbers?

Don't worry about numbers if you don't have a baseline to bounce it against!

Ron 02-22-2012 02:15 PM

what did you do to the strut bar?

simota1 02-22-2012 02:48 PM

hey bro quick question.... for the motordyne can you reinstall the stock engine cover?

yep the stock cover can be used

Boost_lee 02-22-2012 07:35 PM

Yes, stock engine cover bolts on fine

I hand polished the strut bar :icon14: It's not prefect, but I like it more than stock

Unfortunately no base numbers, but thats ok

simota1 02-23-2012 03:35 AM

so wouldnt the strut bar rust since its metal? or you clear coated it

Boost_lee 02-23-2012 04:26 AM

I was planning on getting it powdercoated down the line and I did the hand polishing just before a meet.
I'll probably throw some clear on it since the local place doesn't offer the color powder I want. I just don't want it to dull or yellow the finish with the engine heat.

Considering i dont have the experience or an oven big enough for headlights to fit id say me doing all the work is a bad idea. Lol

Rone 03-03-2012 10:15 AM

Hey Boost_lee, since you're offering up your headlight painting services, you might as well throw mine in there too.

Boost_lee 03-03-2012 01:52 PM

lol see what you guys started?!?

On a side note:
New exhaust this evening hopefully :)
The fast intentions catback is still up for sale. It turns out that there was an incident when my car was strapped down on the dyno  There are dents on the back side of the mufflers

Splinter 03-03-2012 10:16 PM

LOL you should just do it man, make some extra cash on the side.

Sometimes the test (ART) pipes do have a harsh smell, but I like it. Nothing crazy. I've been told that people can smell them from behind when I'm WOT. At idle when standing behind the car, you can smell them just a little. I've never had the smell in the car , even with the windows down sitting at a stop light.

Oh, and no CEL's with the ART pipes for me.

simota1 03-08-2012 05:31 AM

as long as its not overwhelming im down to get a set... :D
