Not bad for 18,000 miles on it from the previous owner huh? That sucker even polished it up for me

thanks again Steve

dirTy_shoeZ 10-04-2010 02:22 AM

nice bro....i do wanna see this thing :)

Boost_lee 10-04-2010 02:25 AM

Thanks man, but I really need to see yours.

I was thinking about planning a 370z meet this Sunday the 10th. You down? I think 2 or 3 others have said yes already.

kevin8086 10-05-2010 06:56 AM

how much would you charge to do my light, if it's something your willing to do?

Boost_lee 10-05-2010 11:10 PM

Not even sure if I have time...It would be easier if I had a spare set of lights so the only downtime would be the actual swapping.

kevin8086 10-06-2010 07:36 AM

i got ya. yeah, i have to use the car daily for work. i may be headed down to SA either today or thursday. if you have any time i would love to hear your exhaust, i havent heard one in person so i dont know if it's to loud for me or not. i may just go with a nismo cbe and high flow cats cause i know thats not loud but gives a little extra rumble.

Boost_lee 10-06-2010 11:44 AM

Trust me, its not too loud at all

I work until 10pm, but shoot me a pm if u want to meet up. I'll see what I can do

kevin8086 10-06-2010 01:07 PM

Cool, ill hit u up in a bit

JollyGoodChap 10-06-2010 01:27 PM

:icon18: I know! After I get the sideskirts, I'll do a H&R spring drop, then wheels should finish off the exterior. I doubt that I'll be venturing down the power-adder path.

Thanks, same here! Once EVO-R gets the sideskirts made, I'll install the front lip at the same time

letting someone drive your z? you're nuts!

Beautiful car, tastefully modded

Boost_lee 10-19-2010 10:11 PM

We did the install at his work for free, so I did owe him haha

thanks man

Swift springs have been ordered and should be on the way soon

Boost_lee 10-21-2010 11:50 PM

Swift springs - ETA tomorrow
EVO-R side blades in FRP - paid

Might throw a coat of black bumper paint on both, just in case.

Hopefully this car will be looking fresh by November 1st!

Wheels wont be touched until 2011.

Jamaica 10-22-2010 12:35 AM

nice what wheels u want my friend?

Boost_lee 10-22-2010 07:42 PM

I haven't made up my mind yet, though I'm leaning towards 20" with a step lip. Either venaci mesh, spirits, work t1s', or ssr sp3s.

JB-370z 10-22-2010 09:06 PM

Dont get a step lip if you ever want to throw a BBK on your car.

and why is that? Its already been done.

AsmMugen 10-23-2010 12:18 AM

oh my god blue Z's are hot Jealous Lol =)

Boost_lee 10-23-2010 02:48 AM

thanks asmmugen

JB - Thanks, but I probably wont be looking into a BBK since I'm not venturing into the power adders either. Stock Sport brakes are really enough for me and my purposes :D

Boost_lee 10-28-2010 02:31 AM

EVO-R FRP sides are here. I might throw a coat of bumper paint on the sides and front lip.

If the spring install goes well on Sunday I'll throw those on also.

Installed the retractable front plate (Show-N-Go) in the grill area. Also posted up a DIY for this install.

Could you please let me know where you bought the kit, and how much installation cost? Did you install yourself? If so, was it difficult?

Thanks in advance!

marcussoori 10-28-2010 08:24 PM

Forgive me! Just saw your DIY, never mind....

Boost_lee 10-29-2010 02:50 AM

Glad it came in handy :)

Boost_lee 10-31-2010 11:06 PM

10/30

Installed Swift Spec-R drop springs (1.25 F, 1.0 R)

10/31

Installed EVO-R 3pc front lip and EVo-R side blades, both in FRP, black

A few crappy cell phone pics for now. Hopefully springs will settle this week and I can get a photoshoot going

Normal driving is as smooth as stock, but sudden dips and potholes are much softer. The ride is very enjoyable. Once you start to drive a little more aggressive, the springs feel very tight and there is far less body than before. Car feels great! I love these springs so far

Boost_lee 10-31-2010 11:24 PM

Thanks G

tjlazer 10-31-2010 11:30 PM

Nice! Did you do it yourself?

Jamaica 10-31-2010 11:37 PM

looks mad clean!

crazybeasty 10-31-2010 11:45 PM

how do you like the evo r side blades and is it pre drilled to fit the oem's side skirts holes?

Boost_lee 11-01-2010 04:29 PM

Tj - yes, the install was done at home with a friend. Though due to the lack of a good impact gun, we took the front shock assembly to his work to put on the swift springs. We swapped them at home, but didn't line up the tophats correctly, so we decided to just take them to his work and use their spring compressor to speed up the process. The lip and sides were both installed by myself in about 1.5 hrs.

Thanks Andrew

Crazy - I love the evor sides, well worth the wait. They add a great flare without giving up more than 1/2 inch of ground clearance. They are contoured perfectly to the car and the length is near spot on. I would suggest having a helping hand to just hold the skirts while you drill them in. There are 5 mounting holes along the blades, and they do not use stock mounting tabs. EvoR includes self tapping screws for an easy job; probably 30 minutes for both.

98intrigue 11-01-2010 07:23 PM

Looks good! You need to do a photoshoot with the quality of your pictures you take :)

Boost_lee 11-01-2010 07:58 PM

Ha, thanks man. I really need to nail a good shoot on this car. I want to see if the springs will settle any more this week, if so, then I'll try a shoot on Thursday or Friday night.

I don't think ill be touching this car for the remainder of the year, I went a bit overboard these last few weeks lol. Next year will be audio and wheels, maybe some motordyne parts :) I am very content with the car as it sits though.

m4a1mustang 11-01-2010 07:58 PM

Looks good, dude.

Boost_lee 11-01-2010 11:20 PM

its amazing... i think the one thing that really sets it apart from others,is that you have a 'blue, black, and silver' theme going on! seems a large majority of the blue z's are blacked out...unless thats whats coming next? haha either way it looks amazing,im a huge fan of the headlights also!
