they still look as they do on the pictures. I did do a light sanding on the emblems before painting, but they are still plastic and I know they will chip eventually from random rocks and stuff hitting them. Remember I used Nite Shades on these, not regular black paint. The only permanent solution is buying those $80 black chrome badges

but so far so good for mine.
