Interested in this kit. Can we get a ballpark how much this would cost?

gbrettin 08-21-2015 08:55 AM

back from page 3 I think.

"The Basic kit comes with
Billet Engine Mounts
Tubular transmission mount
Driveshaft
Oil Pan
Oil Pan pickup tube
Oil pan stud kit billet dip stick
Oil filter relocation housing
Oil filter lines and fittings
Power steering lines and fittings

The basic kit is $2450 and is in stock."

blak max 08-21-2015 09:47 AM

Yea I believe the kit is around the same price as the 350 kit.. The basic doesn't come with the long tube headers I believe

Carbon_z 08-21-2015 10:18 AM

Real good rust treatment system is POR-15

edk370 08-21-2015 01:16 PM

I can't wait until all the bugs are worked out of this kit. I want an FD3S with an LS swap, but I'd rather use a newer chassis. They're both awesome!

blak max 08-21-2015 06:45 PM

more progress ,more problems

How much do you think all in for the kit, engine, tranny, and everything to make it all work? Was this a crate motor?

its not cheap..but you can get it done for a lower price if you go with an Ls1or2 ...
LS3 i got from ebay (vette in a salvage yard) ,
trans i got from a performance shop for 900,
performace torque converter from (Circle D Specialties Performance Torque Converters) ,
engine/trans harness (ww.psiconversion.com) around $700
swap kit from Fueld racing (Fueled Racing) ,
fuel kit $200 (cjm)

then there are extras like gas pedal, sensors, intake, , gauges, cam kit, oil and tranny coolers, fuel regulator, fuel lines, fuel fittings, ecu...

you can buy a crate motor, which i almost did, but you should know they dont all come complete.. the lower priced ones dont come with drive accessories .... if youre going to get into a project like this you should plan it out

Do you have to cut the hood open to make it fit?

DatsunFTW 11-13-2015 09:23 AM

I'm sure he'll cut it. After all its still just work in progress state

I cut the tube but I need to cut it a little more.. I'll also get a vented hood down the road

why not go with a different intake?

maybe one without that 90 bend. the LS3 was front fed in stock form and have multiple "Y" shape setup along with the single straight in. get some smoother airflow.

could work with minimal work for fitment rather than a 90 bend and a chopped hood lol
