Depends on what I'm doing. Changing filters or screwing with the headlights etc you don't need the front fascia all the way off.

Regardless, there's no way around it - I can take it on and off all day long without scraping. Unless there was a nasty wind that might blow it around in my hands, it's just something I've done enough that I don't need anyone, is all. |

More homosexual with two? Yes. As we have proven. Even more :superghey: with a threesome? Yes. Again, as we have proven. |

I'm not saying anyone is a girly man for wanting two people to take it off heh, I just think it's a bit paranoid, and/or you should look at your technique. Or you may be a girly man. |

It is an easier job with two people, because moving an object of that length is easier with two. Knowing the dimensions and seeing where you're going. Holding the object in a more stable fashion. And unless you're able to physically teleport from one side of the car to the other, it is faster for a second person to be popping in clips. It is not rocket surgery, whether it is done by one's self or with a friend, but it is faster and easier with someone else there, even if marginally so. fgts |

It's not that big, so holding it by myself is not a problem. I don't know what you're talking about. And you can stand in the middle and use your wingspan to get both sides at once. Or just work on one side, then go to the other... then get to the middle... then pop it off. I've done it so many times I don't understand how it's easier with two. Also, I've removed my front bumper many times myself and it was never a problem. I never thought, "man, this would be easier with two." I will contend that it is SLOWER with two because you have to account for the time spend fighting with the help. |

wow :icon14:
Yes I feel perfectly capable of accomplishing this task on my own. I'd personally prefer to have an additional set of hands to help remove and replace the bumper to help prevent any possible damage to the bumper or the clips that hold the bumper on. I'm pretty sure that the bumper and the clips were not designed to be removed and replaced on a frequent basis, if even really ever, so I'd rather take care of my hardware accordingly. I'd like to keep the car for a long time and being meticulous with how I care for it will help in the long run. |
I've done it twice on my own now and it's not a huge pain, just time consuming.

They seem fairly robust to me, to be honest. Just be careful if you do it in cold weather.

Neat, but a little ugly.

Weird. It's like a DIY cobra kit only for subarus.
|
From my experience, it's not hard to do by yourself but still faster with 2 people who know what they're doing. You're not gonna save a huge amount of time with 2 people vs 1, but still a bit faster.
