I'm hoping all my DIY work will be done by the end of this weekend so I can start making it out to meets again.

Did anyone show up? The last two times I went it was just me and one other.

I'm going to go to one of the next Columbia meets so I can get Mission BBQ afterwards.

And then I showed up at like what ... 12:20? Yea ... no just me and my shadow this morning. I drank coffee, listened to great music, (did I mention that I listened to Sports Car Songs for Big Wheels by Oscar Brand)

then went to Mission BBQ and picked up lunch for the fam.

I assume there is a license required? I have a rod but no idea what to use to get bass to bite. I did mostly trout and walleye out west trolling from a boat.

You'll need a Virginia fishing license. I believe you can get a temporary non-resident permit for the dates you plan to fish.

As far as the bite goes, I have had good luck with Senko stick worms and in-line spinners (Mepp's). A lot of it will depend on where on the river you are fishing. I think we'll have quite a bit of current by the BBQ site.

I did, I was like dancing around the parking lot making a lot of noise and stuff and then I did some burnouts and ...

no ... I sat in my car quietly, listening to music, although I did have Led Zeppelin on 11, reading the forum and other stuff.

The one time I had something important to do another show up. I was always on time when I went. Hopefully next time there will be better attendance.:tiphat:

Will anyone be going out to Columbia this weekend or next? I definitely want to meet some of these other Z's I see out and about here. I caught a few going in and out of the Target parking lot last Saturday. A blue with body kit, and went right past somebody in a black with bodykit as I came in around 11:30. Just kept missing them...

I can't make the next two Z & Coffee; my Z is still down due to CMC/CSC issues. Decided that since I'm replacing CMC & going to a HD CSC that I will also upgrade to Southbend SS Quiet Clutch Kit /14.5lb Southbend Billet Aluminum Flywheel. Can't wait to get mods done and finally make my 1st "Z and Coffee Meet. Also very much looking forward to attending picnic.

I will *still* be DIY'ing on the Z this Saturday.

This Saturday is currently defined as the VA "free for all." We have not seen a new meeting place established. I'm in Waldorf at the CDC autox all day anyway. Next weekend is Columbia and I will be happy to consume more Mission BBQ.

Yes this weekend is a free for all. No location yet. Next weekend if i am free i will definitely roll up to Columbia for some Mission BBQ.
