I've mentioned before my skepticism about recent and current SIG firearms. While earlier versions (German) are superb, reliable weapons, the new SigArms paradigm is quite suspect in the view of many, many department armorers.

I saw a thread on another sight that illustrates another direction relative to SIG corporate concept and IMHO is even more puzzling to me than their often-reported current corner cutting in design and relative lack of quality control.

Admittedly, I view firearms as tools, not as art, but the Sig MasterShop has gone beyond my ability to comprehend their overall corporate policy. I think it's illustrative of Sig's new corporate direction and represents a reason I wouldn't buy a current Sig firearm.

I would rather have one of these than a painting of Elvis on black velvet, but still.....

Yeah I'm favoring the Remington 870 over the Mossberg 500 right now.

Probably looking at the 870 Express Tactical.

What do you think of yours.. pros? cons?

Darren, to be honest with you man, I havent even fired it yet, the only reason I bought it was because in my job, we have them, and as I was going through training, I was very unfamiliar with the whole functionality of it, but I was an excellent shot with it being that I had former military experience with the m-16, using those fundamentals.

So I bought it to really acquaint myself with it, and now Im good to go. I love it though, its badass, I have not done any mods to it though. I'd say buy one, they're cheap too.

But you're right, the sound alone should be enough to make most people stop dead in their tracks.

Thanks brother, I appreciate that, Im just waiting on that Tact Light, then Im not sure what else I'll do.
