Ironically I was in the Smokys yesterday in my Z. I just stumbled upon this event today. It looks like it may be too late for me to make lodging reservations, but I do plan to come up for the day and make the run on the Dragon. I hope to meet some of you.

Make sure to bring 2 way radios. Probably one of the only ways to communicate once in Fontana. Also pick a channel for your group.

FYI -- I'll be putting together a consolidated "communications goober card" for the MAZOC group with names, primary & alt two-way channels, cell phone #'s, etc. Will hand those out either the Sat meet prior to departure OR the morning of -- did the same thing last year.

Do you have a two-way radio for yourself? Do you have any that could be borrowed, and if so how many?

I have one radio for myself and have loaned the other to GM_Traitor3.5.

I'm going to update the registration list with radio information as more people chime in.

Radio Inventory Follows:

2 ea. Long Range (35 Mile Range) Motorola 2-Ways
4 ea. Mid Range (14 Mile Range) Motorola 2-Ways
6 ea. Total (each set requires 3 ea. AA Batteries)

Pretty Sure Kirkster said he was bringing 2 ea. Long Range Motorola 2-Ways as well.......so I think we are in good shape. I'll probably suggest the convoy leader have one of the long range radios as well as the Tail End Charlie......
