Tentatively add Kimberly and myself. We're currently dealing with having to potentially celebrate her brother's birthday on that day, but it looks unlikely due to them just having their 2nd child.

Yea but I don't mind. It'll be worth the Brisket, Ribs, Fish, Burgers, somebody will bring brats I'm sure. And :driving:

ZCarMan 07-16-2015 05:09 PM

Patricia and I are in! I'll bring the truck so I can bring the big cooler and ice along with drinks, plus some large contractor trash bags. I can bring charcoal and the Jumbo Joe as extra cooking space if necessary.

Im debating if I should drive the Z.. (with nismo and her dog hair):ugh2:

Trash management is important. We are responsible for hauling away our trash to the on site dump.

eastwest2300 07-16-2015 07:52 PM

too easy...

We shall have trash bags aplenty, and we shan't leave a trace!

Dog hair is a hard sell. Either way.

Its looking like I may have my RJM clutch pedal hopefully by this BBQ event, I think we should start canvassing as to who would like to help install ours... I can bring tools.. hell, if I could get with someone thats done it before, I could do all the work, just give me some insight and direction.

jpkirk 07-17-2015 10:42 AM

Hmmm, rumor has it that it is a 1 to 2 hour job. I was kinda kidding about doing it at the picnic. It would seriously detract from the community time. This thread said it took him all day ...

Well I'd personally like 4 eyes on it instead of 2, so if anyone wanted to help me make it to the promise land, I'd throw them some cash.

Reading that thread, the guy was a novice, so him taking a full day sounds reasonable.

jpkirk 07-17-2015 10:52 AM

Is there anybody coming to the picnic that has one installed?

eastwest2300 07-17-2015 10:58 AM

Not sure.. But its nothing I'll stress over, I'll bring my tools, if someone wants to help, awesome.. If not, I'll get it done at a later time.. and or, if someone wants to swap parts (its happened before) I'll have my tools they could use.

jpkirk 07-17-2015 11:06 AM

That's cool. I would be happy to lend a hand just to see it done.

jpkirk 07-17-2015 11:07 AM

I would just hate to see it only get half way done by the end of the day. Or some issue arise ... you know?

:iagree:

Trips to the hardware/auto parts store would also be difficult if you needed to make one. I would suggest leaving the BBQ for food and hanging out. Might be a good opportunity to find out who can help you and then schedule a later date/time for it with them.

yeah that would be sh1tty... hopefully I get it before the BBQ and get it installed before the 1st, that would be ideal.

Yea I did my fair share. I was a Cream, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Beethoven, CSNY, Mozart, Dave Brubeck, Frank Zappa, Chicago, Pete Fountain, Tchaikovsky fan ... you know ... diverse ... oh ... and Beatles.

It's even more so these days.

Still good for the ride, so far. Any recommendations on what to bring that'll fit in a motorcycle saddlebag? Anything that anyone wants/needs in particular?
