the small foot print micro stores will be used as, a
personal shopping experience with a real person interacting

They will not stock a large inventory and Amazon vans can make home
deliveries ridding Amazon of UPS - USPS - FedEx. Amazon did not buy
Radio Shack locations for selling Radio Shack products. Lets give it some
time and see.

First thing that came to mind is mini warehouse/delivery hubs for Amazon, masked by a store front for increased name recognition.
