im not too sure... i think amazon is best for its huge selection of goods, being able to purchase from my desk without getting out of my seat (beside going to the door to check out my latest deliveries ), with super fast economy shipping.

its a true bargain as their are many Radio shack locations throughout
the United States locked into long term leases at below the current market
lease rate.

Amazon Corporation has a multi billon dollar war chest at hand.

Lets see what happens..

interesting..... but an awkward and risky move....

while traditional retail are being hit badly by the online retail, ie amazon actually beat up lots of retail to death... ie Best Buy is one of the victim.

it is such a weird move that an online retail is opening a physical outlet.

one of the biggest reasons why radioshack did well in the past was because rural towns didnt have big name electronic stores and radioshack had that niche. but with internet came online giants like amazon to take on even those rural town niche markets.

so it seems kinda redundant to me, unless their focus is more like their kindle and amazon-only products for their physical stores.. but thats A LOT of stores to fill just for that stuff.. they want to compete vs apple stores?

i think amazon would be better off buying a courier company... like USPS but have better customer service and none of that throwing parcel on my roof.

I agree with you Mr.kenchan, but that was the past.

nowadays radioshack is being well known of filled with sales-person selling product at high price but they don't have no idea on what they are selling.....

and to make it worse, consumers nowadays like to go to the physical store to look at the product, then order it online for a cheaper price.

thus physical store is acting like a huge show room...

the small foot print micro stores will be used as, a
personal shopping experience with a real person interacting
gaining both consumer knowledge and a understanding of
what Amazon customers are also looking to buy.
They will not stock a large inventory and Amazon vans can make home
deliveries ridding Amazon of UPS - USPS - FedEx. Amazon did not buy
Radio Shack locations for selling Radio Shack products. Lets give it some
time and see.

Agree with this 100% Doctor KenChan, many times used Radio Shack
for a emergency need. longer cables for a DVD player to a monitor.
Batteries as Radio Shack stocked even hard to find a rare batteries
and you could even see if they fit your product before purchasing.
