Sounds fishy. Why just buy oil when you can get Mystery Oil that can be anything, even oil?

I used that stuff back in the day to try to quiet noisy lifters in my 68 Pontiac's 350 V8. It didn't seem to help, but it didn't seem to hurt (although the tapping of the lifters eventually drove me so crazy that I put a big cam and new lifters in, which enhanced my driving experience...so maybe the stuff DID help!).

MMO has been around for ages - I remember seeing ads when I was a kid and I think it had been around for a while then. A lot of old-timers swear by the stuff but all the real tests I've seen says it does nothing for an engine in good condition.

If the RAV engine is not showing any signs of "distress" I suggest staying away from any additives. I strongly suggest no additives for the Z (unless you are racing).

it's a little sluggish, it's a 15 year old car that's taken a lot of abuse. if you hit the gas it doesn't necessarily pick up right on it.

as far the z, it's brand new so it doesnt even cross my mind lol and i dont plan on keeping it longer then 4-5 years

I love MMO between MMO and Seafoam me and my cousin have got a lot of shít up and running, will it do anything in a new car, no. Do I personally feel it helped my old POS cars and bikes that were dead? Definitely

Personally OP, I wouldn't run anything in the oil, sludge can keep oil from leaking out, and if you wanna clean some of it but not all of it, try synthetic oil changes vs this which is closer to a detergent.

I'd look at things like spark plugs, MAF, injectors, &c before dumping additives into my oil.

spark plugs changed a couple months back. don't think we ever changed the injectors but can't remember. i know the throttle body was cleaned about 5 months back i think. for 15 years the car has been good, never any problems. But i'll leave it as a last resort for the MMO

I used it a few times, and I'll admit, it didn't change anything noticeably. As far as MMO by word of mouth, even Master ASE techs swear MMO works and has cured noisy valvetrains. But the cars I used it on, I haven't used it on them since 2007. 1987 Dodge ram 318 and it's still running like a damn champ, and my 90 honda crx si b16a that was still running strong until my distributor shaft bearing seized, seizing the whole intake camshaft knocking the timing off and bending my valves, that was back in 2011, and I just bought it a new belt, retimed it, and started right up, purring but sputtering a little bit, ran like a champ but not like it use to until October 2013 where one of the valves just broke in hald. Just one valve, and theres 4 valves per cylinder. I seperated the block and head, and thats when I found out I had bent valves. There was no noise coming from the engine and when I was driving, the car just shut off. I just swapped the engine with another b16 engine. My bad, I like all makes and models, so just talking about cars and working on the comp got me rambling

So I can vouch it doesn't harm anything. The jdm b16a engine had the original distributor from 1991. It was bound to happen
