Neighbor mowing lawn

Great suggestions but I like my freedom. I won't harm the cat, it's not the cat it's the stupid owner. Only option I have at this point is small claims

Wish I could park farther. most of my driveway is single car wide. I'm getting 8ch security cameras when I'm back next week. I'll be sure to point 2 of them where she crawls

As I see it, you have two choices: accommodate or retaliate.

If she's a doddering old lady, I suggest moving the car away from the property line; maybe even park elsewhere when she is mowing or doing other yard work in the area.

If she's doing it on purpose, retaliation seems appropriate to me. But I tend to be an anti-social SOB.

I agree. She seems to have her own idea of where her boundaries are, and they don't seem to align with reality or convention very well.

The difficulty with retaliation here is that OP will have to be prepared for escalation, which could go nuclear with this lady. I try (unsuccessfully) to pick my battles wisely. I think I'd lean toward avoiding this one.

I do agree with fuzzzy.... just let it go. I believe you have the most sane mind might as well give in and just park your car farther. Think of it as she your grandmother too.

In my opinion no point of wasting your youth over her as there are far more productive thing and socially uplifting things to do than arguing with an obviously unreasonable elder.

Just give her...her due respect it wont hurt you. Btw i didn't mean you disrespected her but you know what i mean.

Yup she is guilty as sin based on her responses. Either way, you aren't changing this cold war old woman she has probably seen some $hit. I say get a cheap fence put in, preferably vinyl and draw a battle line. You can be sure she's going to be gunning for that car next mow. Her son may be a lawyer but he could help his mom mow her lawn or at least hire someone to do it geez. Switch the Z spot with that other car, or park the Z on your lawn away from the crazy foreign lady.

Might want to look into some 6' concrete parking blocks along the edge of the driveway. You can edge around them for her if you want but she will not be able to mow close to your car anymore. You will only need a couple of them up where you park the car. Don't listen to the "escalators" it is a no win. Even small claims wont give you her SS check.

No one has mentioned this yet. Can you just offer to cut the section yourself? Or ask her if it would be to much trouble to give you a call or knock so you can move your car. Old people may be thick headed but if there is one thing I have always been able to do, is come to a mutual respect.

Your doing the right thing by staying calm some other things mentioned could land you straight in jail or fined and I doubt are true. I have done some crazy thing but no one will ever know.

Offer to take out her trash can or bring it up for her after it gets picked up. Little gestures like this go a long way with the older generations.

Just leave it alone man. Ive been there myself in that sort postion when I lived in England. Just ask her when she mows lawn and on that day stay well away! Leave the poor granny alone, I am sure she did hit your car and I am also sure she was the one that scratched your bumper. It was not on purpose, just out of dimentia

I have mowed her lawn numerous times, I have also shoveled her driveway when it's snowed. I think she just forgets the things I have done. I actually hurt myself trying to shovel her driveway few months ago.

This all started with her sneaking pieces of fence out, slowly removing the structure. She kept asking me to build a new fence and pay for it too and my dogs are supposed to be fenced in. I'm tired of her ****. My grandma is much much nicer

You're a better person than I. I'd have poured brake fluid on her car (if she has one) and 'removed' the cat. Just saying. No one - NO ONE - disrespects my property. Good luck though!

Haha! If you think long term, brake fluid doesn't get me anywhere. I may have to talk to her son to see what we can do to stop her nonsense. I'm not sure how he will react but I'm gonna stay positive until then
