I just ordered today with no previous experience. They're recommended by Junkman for wax and polish removal. Therefore, I am sure they are perfect for those uses

They are 16x16 towels for $6, which isn't bad. I've paid that much and more for what turned out to be cheap chinese towels.

If there is any question about the quality of your towels, dump them. Per Junkman, run the towel over the palm of your hand. It should be perfectly smooth and not catch on your skin at all.
