Default dented rim... advice

Hey guys... I don't drive a Z, so I will just put this in the lounge section.
I was happily driving along today, when I hit a monster pothole in the side of the road as someone was driving by me on the other side. The dent looks very similar to this (yes I know it is a bike rim, but the dent is very similar in damage done):

Do y'all think it is repairable? It's an aluminum alloy rim, so it is most likely not the most bend friendly. No noticeable fractures/cracks. Thanks guys!

something like that is pretty extreme, but for a real answer you should contact some of the rim repair companies. I did have an iforged with 4" lip that was not quite that bad repaired, but I wasn't happy with it in the end, there was still some waviness.

holy crap, that's a huge dent

Is it going to be cheaper to just buy the rim? How much are these rims? I have never repaired my rims so I don't where or how much it costs.

Whoa. Is that even repairable? My possible condolences.

Thanks...
The rim will cost somewhere around $250 US to replace.
Looks do not matter on the repair, as the dent is on the "inside" of the rim. One will never see where the dent is. I just wondered it if was repairable to the point of functioning. I will get a pic of the actual dent up tomorrow when there is light. The roads here are horrible, and that SUV coming in my direction didn't allow me a lot of wiggle room lol.

Shipping it out would not be a very economic option most likely. I didn't know if body/rim shops could repair things such as this. We have a Rimco in town, but I've never had to have a rim repaired.

It was pretty frightening when it hit... Took all I had to keep the car out of the ditch and get it stopped before the tire shredded. It seems to be running smoothly even after, so that is a good think (knock on wood).

Another pic of *about* what the dent looks like.

if its aluminum then it might be a little harder/more expensive.

I had a ATV rim with a smaller dent than that, it could never be fixed properly, always had a minor leak that would flatten the tire after a couple weeks.

you might wanna buy a new one. I could be wrong but even if you repaired it wouldnt it be weaker than an original?
