Ha!
I did board Sky Priority with an aisle seat and extra legroom. I suddenly became painfully aware of how large the typical American arse and fupa have become.

DFW-DTW-MDT for me. You should all have your 30K' rapes if you are on the lucky list.

LunaZ 09-12-2013 10:13 AM

My salon buildout is about to go over budget.
I was really hoping to do this without a loan, dammit.

nice! how much does installation cost in general (hours)? 14kW unit i priced at $3760, so with sales tax, freight ($150?), and install ($500?), probably less than $5K?

that's quite affordable!

I do, however, I would prefer that over cold, snow, power outages, etc.

I need to grab a genny, but hurricane season's been quiet so far. The Ike aftermath wasn't pretty. Definitely changed my thoughts on preparation. Now it's like Doomsday Preppers over here.

I hope he has good ventilation! The exhaust on this thing will bend over a 5 foot shrub lol

If I remember right it was right around there. I will try to dig up the receipt. There is a big electrical panel also. Pic below. The house was wired for a generator when it was built so I am not sure if there are extra costs involved or not. I would for sure call around locally and see what prices you can get. I think our unit itself was around $3K-ish.
This is part of what senses when the power goes out and switches it over to the generator. Pic of electrical box:

Edit: We found ours through the electrician that wired it all up. He does like 5 a year and gets a discount on the parts and he passed it on to us. Be sure to ask electrician friends!
