Oh I bought us a natural gas generator that senses when the power goes out in the house and it turns itself on and runs till it sees that power has been restored. Freaking awesome! Self tests itself once a week and runs for 20 minutes and then shuts off.

The most impressive part? The seats... I want GTR seats. They are perfect.

I called dibs if he ever changes. :icon17: Even if it's cheaper for aftermarket... though, I'd need to test sit aftermarket ones before making a purchase.

It was so worth the $. I had a gasoline one wired up in the garage and that POS MFing dogdamn thing would start all year round when testing it, but when the power went out, I pulled the cord until I about went into cardiac arrest and it wouldnt start. Like a really cruel joke from the higher powers lol

If they only knew what they were missing! 7 seconds after power outage, it kicks on and I dont have to worry about doing anything. :tiphat:

Yeah I can SOMETIMES make it out for a weekend drive into november/VERY early December. Some years we are getting snow on halloween and the next year it just rains until 3 days before Christmas. Lake Michigan can be a big b!tch to us :rofl2:

I don't know if what just some bad karma/joojoo vibes but I tested it EVERY month to let it run for a bit and when we lost power 3 times that year, it would NOT start for anything. Pissed me off so bad I started looking at alternatives lol

A house down the street has one of those. After Hurricane Ike, power was out for half of my neighborhood for weeks. Every night, you'd see his house lit up like a Christmas tree with loud music playing with nothing but darkness around him. Way to rub it in, ****. :rofl2:

I was in the other half of the neighborhood that only lost power for 36 hours or so, so I tuned in to the same radio station as the guy down the street and turned it up.

madwi 09-12-2013 09:37 AM

Generac Power Systems - Guardian Series 14 kW

They go up to 60 Kw or a 50Hz model whatever that means lol

I need to grab a genny, but hurricane season's been quiet so far. The Ike aftermath wasn't pretty. Definitely changed my thoughts on preparation. Now it's like Doomsday Preppers over here.
