Yum :ugh2: I walk barefoot on hot asphalt pretty routinely and have never had anything like that happen. I wouldn't be running on the track or asphalt or concrete barefoot without lots of practice. For me it's about conditioning your feet to handle the barefoot running and not so much the heat.

Well I like the rain, too... I just prefer to keep it on the outside of my car :icon17:

Honestly, I have a lot of fun with the Z in the rain. It allows me to loosen up the tires a lot more without wearing them out much  :driving:

When I was younger we had a summer place on lake Michigan, I actually had blisters sometimes from being on the hot sand after playing for a while.

Just having the option to put the top down on nice days is just awesome, this is my first convertible, and Im telling ya, i dont think I'll ever go back to a hard top car in the future.

I take it you haven't encountered any problems with the roof mechanism? I have several friends with convertibles who swear they will never get another one. But they've all had leaks and mechanical failures that would turn anyone off of a convertible. The Texas sun gets pretty hot here most of the year, but convertibles in the winter are awesome here.

Nope, never had any issues with the roof mechanism. I am however very pre maintenance savy, so i keep it clean and oil down the mechanism to keep it working without issue.

You guys have no idea. On the contrary, participants at the one in Austin got free swag including a GoPro Hero3

It is a marketing event put on spectacularly by Nissan. They want you to buy their cars; they're not trying to nickel and dime you at the event. You won't spend a dime at the event. Search the forum for some of the threads on the one that happened at COTA - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Btw... the COTA event filled up registration for both Sat and Sun in about 15 minutes.

Go register on their website (I think it's nissanperformanceacademy.com)... you won't be eligible for these events but you will get the invitation next time. If you can, find someone who got registered and see if you can be their guest (every participant is allowed one guest).

yah, my shoulders get stiff too. not sure if im doing pushups wrong or just supporting the weight of my head is too great. :ugh:

Secretly I've wanted one of these forever. I had a 2008 350Z when I lived in Madison WI. I used to drool at a S2K that was being towed down the West beltline (east torwards milwaukee, chicago). I had to watch it go by every Friday lol.
