I may have changed my thoughts on an Ouya. A buddy of mine bought one and is playing Tecmo Super Bowl with modern NCAA rosters. I must own this.

Oh yeah! I am mainly a PC Gamer. I just have a few buddies that refuse to join me. So I still have to keep a console around.

I think most launch games usually pale compared to the games at the end of a console's life cycle. I think part of it is just the learning curve for the new hardware and learning how to optimize it. The second part is probably just trying to rush a game out for launch.
I agree, nothing must have at launch. I just pre-order because I hate the time wasted looking for anything new. Destiny is what I'm waiting for and I want to be ready to play when it comes out and not looking for a console :)
Sony tried adding everything people wanted before, it drove the price up too much and not everyone was willing to pay that much. My new PS3 pales compared to my launch PS3. At least you can swap the HD out on the PS4. I would of loved 4k for gaming, it would of given me a reason to buy a 4k tv lol. As you said, it's not that big of a deal now because the bump in specs required to support 4k gaming on disc space, video, and processor would of been huge and only a few people would of been able to take advantage of it. Sounds like you've got a pretty sweet setup for your racing games though.

Sony is also expected to at least give a tighter window of release than "Sometime in 2013".

We can also expect both to give more release day titles and possibly a few more of the exclusive 15 titles Microsoft promised for the first years release.

I updated the first post to include new specs as well. Looks like Sony announced an official OS RAM usage number it is way more than 1G which if you remember I said was way to low even at DDR5 speeds. Looks like 3.5G for OS which actually leaves it .5G under Microsoft for developers. I think with Microsofts use of eSRAM it may be a little ahead of the PS4 now as far as RAM goes.

There's another 1GB of flexible memory that's handled by the OS, but not dedicated to the OS. Which puts it .5GB more than the Xbox One. Which puts it near as makes no difference.

Ya I read about that but I dont see developers even needing it. I just wanted to point out another bit of bad information that was floating around.

I have 5 XB1 and 4 PS4's coming on day one. Im afraid I will only make money off the PS4 though. Microsoft claims within a week anyone who wants a system can walk in the store and get one. Sony is calling for up to a 4 month shortage after release day.

Very smart... For the Xbox's just wait an hour or so after the store sells out. There's no way they're going to have 1-200 Xbox's ready to sell on day one. You'll make your money there.

Even if it is a week. Hardcore gamers want it that day. Especially if that week is right before Xmas.

Well I guess I lied, I dont check times or days of events I leave that up to my wife. She is my little calendar/agenda book. Well no one is perfect the event ended at 1PM and I got off work at 4PM so, ya, I didnt get to try out the new system :icon17:

ill be selling my ps4 as an investment to pay off the xbox one.

Nice MC! I cant wait to get my Xbox Ones. It looks like most of my pre ordered games are shipping on the 15th, a week early for the Xbox One. I am picking up a few PS4's but I think im just going to sell all of them so I didnt get any games for it.

After the first of the year I will probably get one to keep and Killzone is on my short list to go along with it.

killer instinct is only a $20 downloadable game for all 8 characters ( 6 initial on launch then spinal and fulgore come soon after) then through march they are adding a few more. so even if you buy all the characters you arnt even paying the full price of a traditional game

DLC characters are common for fighting games and most of those come on top of a $60 game. so if you look at it that way its not a bad deal

technically the game is free with Jago and you can buy each of the 8 characters individually or just buy the $20 version with all of them

there is a $40 version but it doenst have any more characters just different costumes and the arcade version of the original game

ive got a $25 best buy card so the day before it comes out im gonna buy one of those $25 xbox live cash cards there and get the game for free

honestly I would almost rather it have been a $60 complete disc based game rather than this free to play add on type route they've taken

should be cool though all the videos ive seen of gameplay are pretty crazy and I was all about the first one when I was younger

Anyone took advantage of Amazon's buy 2 get 1 free for PS4 titles? Target is having a similar deal this week. Hopefully there is one for Xbox One games... Keep an eye out folks to save an extra $60!

I'm so torn... I really don't use my PS3 much anymore so I want to trade it in...but GT6 is just right around the corner.

I'll be waiting a few months to see how many new systems catch fire.

Me too. I'm on Xbox360 #5. My PS3 is getting a little wonky too. I'll wait until the first model year glitches iron themselves out.

Normally I adopt new consoles in the first month or never at all. This year is a bit different. I don't have any compelling reasons to jump on either side from the start, and I've not been playing my current XBox360 at all for the last 8 months.

For now, I'll stick to Steam (reluctantly) and PC gaming and see where my friends go.

I usually buy one at launch, and the rest after the first big price cut.

I do not blame anyone for waiting especially if they had one of the bad Xboxs (or 4 like chuck). I just feel like a little kid again with these two systems for some reason and I cant wait to get my hands on them!

Luckily I technically only bought one. The first was an xmas gift at launch (and came DOA, necessitating an exchange 12/26:rofl2:. I don't count that in the total) and the next three were warranty replacements. The fifth one was the only one I paid for.

All be waiting a year before I get a PS4. In the mean time to keep me busy I’m on COD Ghosts for PS3. Add me if your into team death match (yaburAArubay).

Luckily, I won't be coming home for a year, so the waiting is done for me.

1 hour 10 minutes and I'll have 4 ps4's! Then they go straight to ebay :)
