Good for him  Yeah, I can't stand it indoors even if I were smoking myself. Outside only. I didn't get to vote for the city ordinance because we live in a MUD... I don't necessarily think it should be banned in public places, just places where food is served. Anywhere else, just give them somewhere outside to smoke.

I voted to ban smoking in public here in Phoenix.

It's so nice to be able to go to the bar and eat whilst watching the game(s) and not be getting cancer at a rapid pace.

I'm sad now :( ... my neighbor decided to upgrade to the 21st century and get a flat panel TV instead of taking my old 200lb 32" HD Sony Vega off my hands for me.

If anyone here is interested, I will give it to you for free but you pay shipping. Continental US will probably cost ~$250

so now im reading string alignment techniques in japanese... lol :D alignments can cost like 300+ each time there, so makes sense to do it at home if one has the tools.

lol I'm looking at it right now (on my desk next to my monitor). It was my buddy's gun and his bullets. Plus for the $5K recovery cost that thing deserved to be destroyed  The TV still works great, and I'd love to give it away to someone I know that will actually use it. I'll just put it on Craigslist for free if I have to...

Actually, in my experience, it'll sit out there for days with a sign that says FREE. But as soon as you put a sign up that says $10 someone will steal it :shakes head:

I've got an old 19" CRT computer monitor that I was going to give away, too. That would be a much better candidate. Have you shot a tube TV before? I can't imagine it's anything more than the tube busting on the first shot.

:ugh2:my brother brought a couple melons out to shoot with the AR15 .223 (?) and they didn't explode. Kind of disappointed. :shakes head:

Haboob 05-31-2013 05:02 PM

There is some language in here, because we were stupid to be that close to it. A piece of shrapnel flew over my shoulder and hit a car I was standing next to. :eekdance:

No one got hurt, so I can say it was a blast, but def. wouldn't be that close to 2.5lbs of tannerite again.

Haboob 05-31-2013 05:04 PM

We literally found only three pieces of twisted metal in a 50-60yd radius of the blast zone. :icon17:

I know enough about explosives and I've watched enough Mythbusters to know that even if you know what you're doing you can't be too careful with them. That's like the stupid **** we used to do :shakes head: :icon17:

Haha, well, we had 1.5lbs and blew up a scanner... no problem. It did as it was supposed to and went straight up.

However, I think because we put the tannerite inside the computer and sealed it (just closed it like normal) rather than putting it on top of the tannerite we nearly killed ourselves.

Lessons learned. :icon17:

There's no where to go! I have to wait for the people that work shitty hours to get off at 4:30/5 so we can all go to happy hour.

I'm not driving 30-45min and 30mi home to drive all that way back almost immediately. http://www.smileyvault.com/albums/us...sa_naughty.gif

Though, that blast was a bit much. :icon17: 5lbs blew the doors off a car... I think FPSRussia did it on YouTube.

LMBmikeZ 05-31-2013 05:23 PM

put one coat of wax on

I think later tonight I am going to finish my interior of by doing the leather with some cleaner and conditioner  then maybe if I have time or when I wake up in AM I will apply another coat of wax as I am just leaving it in the garage for the weekend anyway........forecast calls for rain next few days.

But that's ok. Just means I can keep detailing the Z so it looks great for this week  I have some gloss I might apply to since I won't be driving this weekend. SW ontario has sever thunderstorm warnings for tonight through tomorrow :ugh2:
