and HI to everybody else too!!! another slammed monday for me...but all is good. Manager that yelled at me last week came to see me first thing and we made up....however, if it happens again the sr managers had already had a talk about it (I found this out this morning from y sr. manager, he was just waiting on me to come and talk when I was ready)...he's a pretty good manager...as far as managers go anyways :p |

(AND I bet it's better than ANY of the movies we all talked about last week!!) |

Also saw Man of Steel at the theatre. That was a badass movie. I was impressed and am shocked at how critics kept saying it "sucked" and was "awful". :shakes head: |

Glad everything is squared away after that unpleasant incident :tiphat: |

I know, a little too much information. :icon18: It was an incredible time on Saturday. Glad that we all got to participate. The thing that struck me the most was how much easier the GT-R's are to drive than the Z's. I don't think I got over 120 mph in a Z, but easily hit 165 mph in GT-R on the back stretch, and it was effortless. My biggest problem was that I had never driven a manual Z before; mine is a 7-AT. It wasn't that I couldn't drive it, but I had to think about my gear changes; they weren't natural to me. That was a bit distracting. I was fine in my car until the oil temp got too hot to paddle shift - I was right above 255. I could definitely feel a bit of a loss in performance as it got hotter. In full auto mode, it just doesn't shift quickly enough. Matt has a 7-AT, but also has an oil cooler so he had no problem. The instructor came up to me after one of the sessions in my car and asked why I started falling back. That's when I told him about the overheating/paddle shift issue. After that, I just stayed in a Nismo 370 and then the GT-R and had no problem staying up with him when it was my turn. Again, what and amazing day. |
Alright. Now I'm pissed.
The door chime was a loose fuse (my fault most likely). The SES? P2098 (Post Catalyst Fuel Trim Bank 2)is the code and he says they can't fix it, because the O2 sensor wiring has been modified. However, I personally put the HFCs on and the wiring is OEM and wasn't modified. |
Here's some video shot by one of our Houston members on our first session. Things stepped-up quite a bit after this session. I'm the one who blows the horn as we rotate on the back stretch.

Hey Nismo, I think this your Cousin? I don't watch a lot of TV so not 100% sure.

...that and despite the "detune it" option, I'm worried about the warranty.
