Avionics technician for Air Canada and Air France-KLM/SkyTeam at the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

I basically repair/troubleshoot, install/replace and perform routine maintenance on onboard radars and avionics instrumentations at the airport and sometimes on the field (such as Air Canada planes stranded in Europe or the U.S.) as part of the emergency response team. I'm 19, in case anyone's wondering.

I would actually know how you got into this field of work, sounds incredibly interessting

16-month intensive formation at l'École nationale d'aérotechnique du Québec (basically translates to National Aéronautics School of Québec) if you already have 12 months of post-secondary education (so college or trade school basically), or 3 years if you don't. Interesting - I was told they had Tacans at the comercial fields as well - must be the variant they were thinking of.... never could figure out why you'd want a system that tells everyone where you are located for use with the Military

are you ordering it thru OMSC? I did, got it fully loaded at 1578.00 below invoice...also being delivered at the end of my deployment.

I just read thru the entire thread and have come to the conclusion that all Engineers think alike on auto preferences. BEE myself, though unused at the moment. Taking this Military Job to retirement, then possibly using the degree.

also see a lot of college students majoring in Engineering.

Nice to see Law Enforcement that appreciate the z for what it is too.

And a lot of military and retired mil. too...
