The type of gig I am on at the moment I would prefer not say. OPSEC of course. I am assuming your out of the military? What branch and MOS?

Understandable. Im still in the Navy. Right now im a boat guy but im waiting on a BUDs package to get picked up (hopefully), If i only do 4 or 8 i still want to go somewhere that i can use the skill set ive learned.

GL with BUD's I know it can be an *** kicker for some and they don't make it all the way. Your still young and got time to really think about what you want to do. The military is a good career b/c it is stable but the money is not the best. Just give it time I am sure by the time you get out we will be at war with a new country and more contracts will open up.

but I feel you.. I am halfway through my 8th year!
