 my work provides the laptops, but these aren't the low-end cheap ones. the ones im running are like $2K. at the end, i just told the it guy to get me a i5 based thinkpad cause that's wat my wife uses and she seems to be happy with it. saved the guy like $500 right there and most of the instability problems i had before were resolved. the rest is a ms issue, but win7 on the thinkpad has not been bad.  im not a computer person...i dont care wat it is, it just has to let me concentrate on my work and  here.
