I might as well just stop looking at the weather. I think of all the times last summer (during the drought) when they said it was going to rain so I didn't drive the Z, and then it didn't rain... Then they say there's some light t-storms but severe weather isn't expected and halfway through the day, surprise, small hail and 40 mph winds.
do you have android phone? if so, try the app called weatherbug. it's actually pretty damn good. i use that to monitor my weather and it's fairly accurate. it's not oversensitive like weatherchannel where they just f-up their forecast.

hope your car is okay...

We got 10K out of the OEM tires in less than 6 months. You get 8K miles out of tires in 3 years

I'm approaching 10k on the stockers. I glanced last night and tread wear looked minimal. Looks almost brand new...

msbc- yah, when the tires are brand new they have release lube from the mold on the outer layer and that can cause VERY slippery condition. but then with 1" of water not channelled, most cars might hydroplane.

yah, new tires need to be broken in. i usually do a quick burn-out and that rids most of the lubage. but the front still needs to be broken in. at least, much less chance of spin out.
